The Pokemon 30th Anniversary is next week and it is also the official release date of the LEGO Pokemon sets. As we know by now, there are three sets that you can purchase as well as a gift with purchase set and a LEGO Insiders reward item. At least they’re not as hard to get as the actual cards. Eevee (72151) and Pikachu and Poke Ball (72152) are still available for pre-order while the flagship Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise (72153) has stopped taking pre-orders. The latter should be available again on February 27. This also goes for the Kanto Region Badge Collection (40892) GWP which was intially available when pre-orders went up in January. The Mini Pokemon Center (40911) Insiders Reward will also drop on February 27 for 2,500 Insiders points. A new LEGO Animal Crossing recruitment bag has been recently revealed with Tom Nook and Flying Present (30731). Releasing at various retailers, it features Tom Nook chasing the treasure-filled balloons. Note that the Tom Nook minifigure is the same one as in Nook’s Cranny & Rosie’s House (77050). In a few weeks, LEGO will be releasing their second The Legend of Zelda set with the Ocarina of Time – The Final Battle (77093). The set has 1,003 pieces and retails for $129.99. Minifigures There are three minifigures in the set, Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf. Link is in his iconic green outfit with the brown strap going across the chest. This is the same figure as in the Great Deku Tree (77092). The hairpiece is also connected to his green hat and ears. He does have a double-sided head with angry expressions on both sides. His accessories include the Master Sword and Hylian Shield. What’s interesting is that he doesn’t include the Ocarina of Time.
