Back in the day we were really into Rock-n-bowl. We would head to the bowling alley after dark to find the lighting all wackadoodle and the music blaring. Doesn't mean we could actually bowl, but we enjoyed ourselves regardless. So the first thing I thought about when I saw this brilliant MOC by Takkata1 was about that (well, actually, it was "so Iron Builder is going again") and now I'm wondering what ever happened to my bowling shoes. Amazon is currently having very good sales on sets from various LEGO themes including a couple that are at a pretty decent price points for what you get. First is the LEGO City City Square (60097) which is at $135.99. That is 28% off the normal price of $189.99 or $54 off. You do get a lot of cool builds with the set including the tram, LEGO Store as well as the LEGO delivery truck which we rarely see. The next set that I think is a good buy is the LEGO Minecraft The Fortress (21127). It is currently at $67 or 39% off the normal price of $109.99. This brings the price/piece ratio to about $0.07. LEGO has officially announced the largest set in the LEGO Minecraft theme with The Mountain Cave (21137). If you’ve been following my posts about it the past month, LEGO has been releasing teaser images of various parts of the set on their social media sites. Earlier today, The LEGO Group has announced that they have reached their 100% renewable energy target three years ahead of schedule. After spending about a DKK 6 billion/£700m investment over four years into offshore wind farms, the output from these projects have exceeded the energy use from the LEGO factories, offices, and stores globally. This thing better pack a punch in the weapons department, because it's not going to surprise an enemy with a speedy attack. It's a snail mech, from builder ToyForce 120. I like to imagine a battle where a whole slew of mechanical species engage, and while the battle rages these guys slowly make their way in. It looks like the official images of the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Thor: Ragnarok sets are now up on LEGO’s servers as they are set to be put on Shop@Home. We had to take down the images from our previous post since they came from unverified sources. The last LEGO Minecraft set I’ll be reviewing for this wave of sets is The Jungle Temple (21132). The set has 598 pieces and retails for $49.99. The contents of the box include four numbered bags, two 16×16 dark gray baseplates, an 8×16 green baseplate, and two instruction booklets. Minifigures There are three minifigures in The Jungle Temple. The first is Steve. He has on the usual blue torso while wearing leather armor. To represent the armor, he has a brown helmet that goes on top of the head, an armor piece going over the torso, and brown legs. The other two minifigures in the set are the skeletons equipped with bows and arrows.
