This thing is mesmerizing, totally mesmerizing. This is the Gräjjs 5.1, a kinetic sculpture from builder gonkius, and it's a sight to behold. I can't imagine how much trial and error it took to get all these nested mechanisms to coexist in such a tight but elegant space. Check out the video to see it in motion. Attention audiophiles, you gotta check this out. The new SBA 1.2 Soundboard is out and it's a beauty. Just look at all those dials, buttons, slider and doohickies, it must be awesome. And if you order now for the bargain price of $9999.99 they throw in a complimentary technic pic, what are you waiting for? Nice one soccersnyderi. Original linkOriginal author: Tommy

I can't believe Star Wars turns 40 this year, man I'm old. I can think of no greater single influence in my life, one that turned me into what I am. Star Wars ignited a creative flame in me that has burned fiercely ever since. Model fabricating, filmmaking, visual effects, camera gear and all my other skill sets and nerdy passions can be traced back to this pivotal cinematic moment. Happy birthday Star Wars! Instead of hosting, Isaac S. is now competing in the ABS Builder Challenge! This round's unique element to incorporate in all builds is a red minifigure bucket! That is surely the most interesting piece used by the hosts so far, at least to me. When you have a red bucket, I am definitely not surprised that one of the builders thought of a firetruck AND firehouse! The building is very nicely done, and is especially good considering Isaac is primarily a castle builder. Make sure to check out addition shots of this station, and the vehicles he created for it! I would not have thought a Batmobile was possible on this scale, but builder Grantmasters has crated the teeniest, tiniest, most adorable (but still completely badass) Batmobile I've ever seen. I have to assume that's also a microscale ACE Chemicals plant as well, I wonder what the Joker is up to this time. Original linkOriginal author: Tommy

It looks like there’s a new LEGO Star Wars polybag that has surfaced that goes with the same style as the R3-M2 (40268) from a few months ago which is the Scarif Stormtrooper (40176). Like before, the minifigure goes on a little stand with a background. There’s no word on when it will be available. The R3-M2 was available at LEGOLAND California and only recently in the UK and as far as I know, it hasn’t been available through regular channels like Shop@Home or Toys R Us at this time. According to builder lummerlander, the intent with this MOC was to convey "happy". Not only it is absolutely successful, it makes me happy just looking at it. There's some wonderfully clever building and parts use here, from the hotdog bun ears, wrench eyeglass temples and whatever part is being used for the tongue. Original linkOriginal author: Tommy

As much as I despise the prequels, I did dig the podracing scene, and I'm a huge fan of the Microfighters form factor. So this entry into the Micro/Midis contest at FBTB by Oky - Space Ranger caught my eye. It's so good in fact I briefly thought that perhaps another wave was coming. It looks like the Russian portal for LEGO.com has given our first look at Old Luke Skywalker from the end of Star Wars: The Force Awakens heading into Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The image pays tribute to the 40th anniversary of Star Wars and the outfit shown in the image above is similar to Obi-Wan Kenobi’s from various sets that has been released already with some slight color changes. There’s no way to know that this version of him will be in an upcoming LEGO Star Wars: The Last Jedi set coming this Force Friday until sets start to be revealed days leading up to the event. Thanks to everyone who messaged in about this earlier today. The post LEGO Releases Image of Star Wars Old Luke Skywalker Minifigure appeared first on The Brick Fan. If you're a fan of Gerry Anderson's UFO (and even if you're not) you have to appreciate the love and care that went into this awesome S.H.A.D.O. maintenance bay by builder Norton74. To further enhance the viewing experience I highly recommend visiting this link and listening to what is my opinion one of the greatest TV themes of all time. Original linkOriginal author: Tommy
