A new trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp came out yesterday and now there are images of a LEGO Marvel Super Heroes set to accompany the film. The set is called the Quantum Realm Explorers (76109) and it has 200 pieces while retailing for $19.99. It features the new Quantum Vehicle and it includes minifigures of Ant-Man, Wasp, and Ghost. The new LEGO Juniors The Incredibles 2 sets have been available for a few weeks now but per our agreement with LEGO, we start our review of the sets starting today with Elastigirl’s Rooftop Pursuit (10759). The set contains 95 pieces and retails for $19.99 which is the standard price point for the Juniors sets. The contents of the box include two numbered bags, some loose Quick Start molds, and the instructions. Minifigures There are two minifigures in this particular set, Elastigirl and Screenslaver. Elastigirl, aka Helen Parr, aka Mrs. Incredible, has on the red Incredibles outfit that is similar to Mr. Incredible from the Disney Collectible Minifigures line but with printing for her body type. A few days ago, I reported that The Toys That Made Us will be returning to Netflix on May 25 which includes episodes covering Transformers, LEGO, Hello Kitty, and Star Trek. There is now a promo clip of the LEGO episode coming out of Nerdist which features a little bit about the LEGO Space and Castle sets. In the clip, we also see Adam Reed Tucker, David Robertson, and fellow San Diegan Bruno Todd talk about the sets as well. It looks to be a pretty exciting episode and I can’t wait to watch it. LEGO has just released the designer video for the upcoming LEGO Star Wars UCS Y-Wing Starfighter (75181) where Senior Designer Jordan Scott and Graphic Designer Maddy O’Neil talks about some of the details of the set. In a nice surprise, Amazon has listed a previously unknown summer 2018 LEGO City set with the Capital (60200). The details regarding the pricing and piece count are not known at this time but it looks to be in the scale of the previous large-scale City sets like the Town Square and City Square (60097). Included in this set are thirteen minifigures, a double-decker bus, a four-wheel crane, and some smaller vehicles. There’s also a mobile ice cream cart along with a standalone hot dog stand as well. There’s also a small skate ramp with a basket on one side but the bigger buildings include a museum and a hotel. I've always loved Jawas, especially the plastic cape one I had as a kid, and gave away to the kid down the street, along with the rest of my collection, and a Death Star play set (12 year old me was a frickin' idiot). First let me say that bigger isn't always better, but sometimes it's certainly an attention getter. I had the pleasure of seeing this incredible castle by fraserratzlaff in person at BrickCon, and I know my initial reaction was a sincere and appreciative low whistle to myself, with a quiet "whoa, that's big". But that's just the initial reaction, after that was several minutes of eye feasting. It's so big that even with three large photos here, you haven't seen nearly all of it. Our pals at the LEGO Car Blog accurately predicted my reaction to this outstanding rendition of Darth Vader's iconic ship from builder Jerac. There's so many cool details and accurate styling on it I don't know where to start, I'll just point enthusiastically at the screen and make "ohh ohh" sounds, ok? Fun Fact: While it's a romantic notion to think this was Darth Vader's ship because he's a super baddie and needed an equally badass ship, the design has a much more practical origin, namely to be able to tell who's who during the battle of Yavin.
