If you watched the designer video for the LEGO NASA Space Shuttle Discovery (10283), you may have seen a mysterious brick-built helmet in the background. Sitting on the back shelf behind Milan is a red helmet that looks very much like a Star Wars Rebel helmet. It doesn’t seem to fit in with the rest of the items on display and there are four shots in the video at different angles to give a good look at it. One particular moment at 3:10 where Nico steps back to show off it a bit more, somewhat saying “look at that helmet”. We already know that LEGO likes to throw in teasers and Easter eggs in their videos and sets and this is a space-themed video. This morning, LEGO announced the LEGO NASA Space Shuttle Discovery (10283) and they have also dropped the designer video for the set. Designers Milan, Mani and, Nico talk about some of the many features that are included in the set such as the rear flaps and the decks of the shuttle. They also talk about the Hubble Space Telescope which is made from drum lacquer silver which fans will enjoy. The Discovery will be available starting on April 1 for $199.99. I got mine in a few days ago and everything that was in it included 2 Backstage Pass lanyards, 2 sticker sheet sets, 2 shoelace charm packs, a welcome letter, and free access to the VIP Virtual Pass.
