LEGO has revealed the first teaser for the LEGO Overwatch theme which will be announced at Gamescom 2018. The teaser some of heroes that we can expect as minifigures including Widowmaker, Reinhardt, Genji, Soldier 76, Mercy, and McCree. In addition, some of the stages shown are Watchpoint Gibraltar, Hanamura, and Dorado so we can probably expect those as the buildable sets. I'm not sure what inspired builder Red2 to build this WWII German Prime Mover, but I'm glad he did. Not that I'm a fan of nazis (they were a bunch of mass-murdering buttheads) but they certainly could invade a country in style huh? The LEGO Ninjago SDCC 2018 panel was pretty exciting for those who attended last month as well as those who were following my live tweets that day. You can now watch most of the panel on YouTube as LEGO has uploaded a majority of what we saw there in person. The panel consisted of LEGO senior designer Michael Svane Knap, Brent Miller, Vincent Tong, Kelly Metzger with Ninjago co-creator Tommy Andreasen hosting. Unlike previous years, the video shows pretty much everything that was shown on the screen, including the clips that we were told not to record, so it’s worth a watch if you have time. Although I never owned any LEGO Pirates sets in my youth, I still have very fond memories of playing with these beloved sets in a friend's attic. This model by LegoFjotten really captures the whimsical feel of these sets and brings a huge smile to my face as I recall the endless hours of adventure between the Pirates and the Imperial Soldiers. Just when you think you've heard of every sport possible, from underwater hockey to bog snorkeling, out of nowhere comes some BrickHead that makes you question everything you know. This particular BrickHead by jarekwally is a hurler from the Limerick team. You heard me right, a hurler! Hurling is apparently an outdoor team sport of Gaelic and Irish origin that revolves around hitting a small ball with a bat into the opponent's goal. No one likes to clean up poo but someone has to do it.  Dung Beetles are actually quite fascinating little creatures, despite being scatophages (dung eaters) and also dung dwellers.  The Scarab well know from Egyptian mythology is a dung beetle.  The nocturnal North African Scarabaeus satyrus species of dung beetle is the only non human animal that uses the Milky Way to celestially navigate.  Takamichi Irie captures the likeness of nature's janitor at work rolling an excellently modeled ball of dung.  The tennis rackets for the flies wings are excellent parts usage as is the photography of with the reflection on the beetles carapace and the fly just out of focus.   The beetle itself is well executed as well, capturing the shape, and the details of the spiky nature of the dung beetle's legs.   Original linkOriginal author: Michael J
