I have undeniable ties to the US Navy. My father served and so did my father-in-law. While my dad  never talked much about his service, my wife's father told me some very interesting stories about being a radar operator on an S2F Tracker. If I had to guess, there were at least a few of these A-3Bs on the aircraft carrier as well. Builder Mad Physicist has done it again with a large scale aircraft of one of the Navy's largest aircraft (they didn't call it "the whale" for nothing). It's loaded with details including foldable wings, articulated air brakes and an opening escape hatch. The big news yesterday was that teaser trailer for The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part was released online yesterday and I’m going to try and do a breakdown of what happened in the trailer and what sets we could get from LEGO from what was shown. It’s been five years since the events on Taco Tuesday and Bricksburg has turned into an apocalyptic wasteland. If you remember, LEGO DUPLO characters came at the end of The LEGO Movie and it looks like they caused the destruction of the city. As a result, everything turned into chaos and it “toughened and hardened” most people including Larry the Barista who underwent a drastic change. The only person that seemingly didn’t get affected was Emmet. Emmet thinks he sees a shooting star go by but it is most likely a device sent down by a new character named Sweet Mayhem who is a...

It’s been over a year since the LEGO Ideas Voltron – Defender of the Universe hit 10,000 supporters and basically there has been no information about it since it was announced that it would become an official set. I did report on rumored pricing but now there might be information on a release date for the set. Candidbricks has found from a South Korean news site, IT Chosun, that Voltron would be released on August 1 as was told to them by an official from LEGO Korea. The reason for the long delay is because LEGO needed more time to get the license to produce the set. Although a release date was stated, it’s still not a confirmation until LEGO actually announces it online or through a press release. I’m still thinking they will be showing it off at San Diego Comic Con next month as it is the perfect place...

I've always loved the Nebulon-B, from the first moment I saw it on screen in the Empire Strikes Back I was intrigued. It was designed by my dear old friend Nilo Rodis, inspired by an outboard motor. The description for this MOC says that it's "original creation by dranac modifications and photo by one case". Last week, we saw an image of the new LEGO BrickHeadz Disney Frozen sets from a Polish LEGO catalog but now there are official images of the two sets. As shown before, there are two Frozen BrickHeadz sets which are reportedly coming out in July. There are now official images of another LEGO BrickHeadz two-pack set coming out later this year with Disney Ariel & Ursula (41623) courtesy of Promobricks. The set contains 361 pieces and it features two of the main characters in The Little Mermaid. There’s no word on when the release date is but it’s safe to say that it will retail for $19.99 as with the other LEGO BrickHeadz two-packs. I suppose it's not all that uncommon, for people to fall in love and actually stick together. Marriage is work, don't let anyone fool you, but when two people click, and understand each other enough to weather the bad times (there are always bad times) then it can work out. This couple, expertly rendered by builder vincentkiew, has been married over 60 years, which is truly an accomplishment. Then you learn that he happens to be the Prime Minister of Malaysia, and the oldest Prime Minister in the world, and you don't know what to be more impressed about. The official teaser trailer for The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part has finally dropped and we finally get to see what the movie is about. After the events of Taco Tuesday, Bricksburg has turned into a wasteland, sort of a Mad Max style. There’s also plenty of singing involved in the short teaser so it could confirm the rumors of this movie being a musical. The ship in this diorama by builder Kloou is lovely, and deserving of attention. But really I can't stop looking at the water. This looks incredibly tedious, fragile, frustrating, time consuming and maddening, not to mention the part count.
