LEGO has officially revealed a new LEGO Ninjago 2026 set with the The Old Town 15th Anniversary (71861). Releasing on January 1, the set has 4,851 pieces and will retail for $299.99. The Old Town features a playset that consists of four modules: a front gate, post office and workshop, a three story tower and lookout. They can be connected in a circle or arranged as a horizontal display that stretches over 39 inches wide. The set also includes 23 minifigures, 3 of which are the exclusive 15th Anniversary ones. Yesterday was the 2nd anniversary for LEGO Fortnite which eventually became LEGO Fortnite Odyssey. LEGO Ninjago voice actor Vincent Tong shared a message on social media with a new reveal at the end. LEGO Ninjago will be added to LEGO Fortnite later this week and it was revealed that Kai will be getting a human, non-LEGO look. This is a far departure from what we’re used to seeing with LEGO but it’s also a pretty cool look. We can expect other LEGO Ninjago characters to get similar looks when they are revealed. Rebecca - by JAvier Soravilla; The muse for this chibi adventure Javier Soravilla (LegoWyrm on Flickr) is well-known in the AFOL community as a prolific MOC builder of anime-inspired chibi characters. A couple of months back, his build of Rebecca from the anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners really caught my eye. I thought to myself “Man, what a cool figure to have on a display shelf!” It turns out that I was not alone in that sentiment. There was so much interest in Rebecca that Javier kindly created building instructions for her a week later and posted them on his Flickr account. With Javier’s instructions as my starting point, I decided to try building some “original” chibi characters of my own. It seems that LEGO has a bunch of stock for the LEGO Ninjago Micro Ninjago City (40703) as they are literally giving it away with purchases of $20. The 339 piece set was originally available back in March 2024 when it was an LEGO Insiders reward item costing 2,700 points. It was then bundled with the other micro Ninjago sets for 5,400 points but I guess nobody wanted to spend their points to get it.
