A few days after the LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts: Grand Staircase (40577) went live on the LEGO Shop, it now seems to be sold out online in North America. That was pretty quick considering the purchase threshold was at $130 to get it and was gone in less than four days when the promotion was supposed to run until July 31. LEGO Brand Stores may still have them so I suggest calling your local store to see if they have any. It’s funny because my review copy is still in the mail to be delivered so the review will totally be outdated. LEGO Juris A/S has recently filed a trademark for the phrase “Brick to the Future” and could this mean that we could be seeing more Back to the Future products soon? Filed back on June 22, the trademark applies to games, toys, prints and publications, and other merchandise. LEGO has already made a number of products based on the Back to the Future franchise with the first being the LEGO Cuusoo The DeLorian Time Machine (21103). Next came some sets for LEGO Dimensions including the Back to the Future Level Pack (71201) and Doc Brown Fun Pack (71230). There was also the LEGO BrickHeadz Back to the Future Marty McFly & Doc Brown (41611) which came out in 2018. To me, “Titolian” (Flickr / Instagram) – also known in real life as Theo Bonner – has always been a hallmark name in the LEGO sci-fi community. He’d most likely laugh and call me crazy, but his distinct style stuck with me so much that I immediately recognised it when he showed up in Billund for a hiring workshop, despite a few years of university-induced dark ages. There some big pieces of news that came out yesterday, one of which includes the return of LEGO Indiana Jones theme in 2023. It was earlier reported that the theme that was codenamed “Coconut” was for it but was instead for the LEGO Avatar which comes out in a few months. The return of LEGO Indiana Jones will consist of eight sets next summer, four for the older movies and the other four for Indiana Jones 5 which is set to be released on June 30. LEGO has officially revealed the next LEGO Ideas set to be releasing in stores with The Office (21336). Coming on October 1, the set has 1,164 pieces and is priced at $119.99. You can now pre-order now on the LEGO Shop. The Stanley Cup Finals last month were great. Since I’m in Las Vegas, I follow my local hockey teams, the Vegas Golden Knights (who didn’t do very well this year) and Henderson Silver Knights (an affiliate of the Golden Knights with the American Hockey League [AHL]). Also being an Adult Fan of LEGO (AFOL), I wanted to make a mosaic of their logos as they are really cool to me. Images via Vegas Golden Knights and Henderson Silver Knights. So the first task was to figure out the size because that would then set the scale and number of pieces I would end up needing.
