On July 1st, 2013—exactly one decade ago—Tommy Williamson debuted Nerdly, the glasses-wearing mascot of a site called BrickNerd. (The site actually launched a full six months before that, but the brick-built bespectacled red 2x2 was introduced in the summer.)
