An Australian LEGO Certified Store has revealed a new LEGO City Space set that will be releasing on April 1 with the Space Science Lab (60439). The set contains 560 pieces and it features a domed lab that opens up to reveal a botanical tower of alien plants. It can also connect with the Space Base and Rocket Launchpad (60434) to make it extend the base. Fans of science and space exploration aged 6 and up will love this LEGO® City Space Science Lab toy playset (60439). LEGO has announced the winner of the LEGO Ideas Celebrate the Wonder of STEM! building contest and the build that will become an official set. Knowledge is Power by danielbradleyy was chosen as the winner from a fan vote from almost 250 ideas. The build features a book showing pages bursting with knowledge and it includes a scientist studying a garden with insects. There also an economist and an architect with a rocket, satellite, and a building. Medieval Bee Farm by J.K.Brick is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The 2,994 piece build features a bee farm but in a medieval setting and it uses some interesting building techniques. Howdy good BrickNerd readers! This article marks an exciting first for me in being offered a yet-to-be-announced LEGO set to play with. As the newest LEGO Icons release, I have no doubt that 10332 Medieval Town Square has been popping up quite a bit on your social feeds. Walmart will be holding their Collector Con event next month and it looks like LEGO will be part of the offerings. On March 14 & 15, Walmart will be dropping collectibles from various companies with sneak peeks starting on March 7. LEGO has been doing Collector Con for a few years with all the reveals being LEGO Star Wars sets so I wouldn’t be too surprised if it’ll be the same this year. LEGO has announced two new gameplay experiences in LEGO Fortnite called LEGO Islands which include LEGO Raft Survival and LEGO Obby Fun modes. LEGO Raft Survival is a multiplayer problem solving mode that uses the classic LEGO Pirates theme where you have to stay afloat on the raft. LEGO Obby Fun is an obstacle course that is a problem solving mode where players are spawned randomly on a LEGO themed course which includes Friends, City, Ninjago, and DREAMZzz. Welcome back to All Types, a look at the typography of LEGO. This time around, we’ll travel back through time from the beginning of the 90s all the way to the 60s. This round of typefaces seems to have some commonality—but stick around ‘til the end where I look at a very funky personal favourite!
