Another LEGO 2025 rumor that was tied with the Star Trek USS Enterprise is that we could be seeing a remake of the Pirates of the Caribbean The Black Pearl. The set is reported to be part of the LEGO Icons line and is a remake of the Black Pearl from 2011. There’s not much information to go off of but if the rumor is true, we can expect the ship to be much larger than the original one as it was only 804 pieces. As always, don’t get your hopes up too much as these are purely rumors until concrete evidence shows up. We don’t talk about new LEGO sets much at BrickNerd—there are a plethora of other great sites that do that. However to help us keep the quality up and ads down, we need your help. If you are going to purchase any new LEGO sets and want to help out BrickNerd simultaneously, we ask that you use our affiliate link for LEGO.com. It is a great way to support community-focused journalism without costing you more than you already spend on LEGO. You can support BrickNerd at the same time you get your Tudor Corner Modular, midi-scale Star Wars ships, the return of Blacktron, new Botanicals, buildable panda and dragon, new minifigures, and even a microscale Diagon Alley! Even if you just get a keychain using our link, we appreciate the help. You can see all the new sets available at LEGO using the following links: US | CAN | UK |...

Four years ago, we brought BrickNerd back to life with a mission to celebrate the creativity of the LEGO community, share the stories of both builders and builds, and provide a place to really get nerdy about the bricks. Every year since then, we’ve been amazed by the positive reception to all of our hard work and how much we’ve been able to accomplish together. As 2024 comes to a close, we wanted to share with you some of the numbers, notable articles, and New Year resolutions for 2025. Reflecting on 2024 Looking back, it’s incredible to see all that BrickNerd achieved in 2024. We published many excellent articles, hosted gatherings at dozens of events, collaborated with some truly exceptional people, and awarded many more of our “Nerd of Note” awards. We even helped make the internet a little more “AdoraBuild.” We’ve also continued trying to help increase representation and visibility...

Winter is in full swing and the holiday season is transitioning into saying goodbye to 2024. We hope you all had a wonderful time with your loved ones! But should you need some respite from just that, we have you covered: Enjoy a post-holiday treat of LEGO community highlights, found in the mystical lands between daily advent calendar reviews and set announcements! Here at BrickNerd, we looked at a collaborative Christmas project and a motorized underwater layout, learned about LEGO and Formula One and upgraded our LEGO photography setup. We looked at wacky LEGO packaging, made memories with LEGO poinsettias and published instructions for a LEGO gift box as well as a gift guide for (Non-)LEGO tools. And we crafted custom LEGO fantasy figures, built LEGO ornaments in October (for a good cause) and a T-Gauge LEGO layout. In fact, we’ve published so many interesting articles in December that we’ve included...

When you head over to your preferred third-party LEGO parts reseller and start looking for pieces, you may be surprised at the variety of results for a simple element search. Why, one might wonder, do four different pieces appear when you look for a 4085 vertical clip plate? Why are there three nearly-identical results for a 1 x 6 x 2 arch? And you may be even more confused when you receive your order: there was only one type of headlight brick to buy, but some of the ones you received have a little slot in the base and some don’t. Why were these not differentiated when the clip plates were? ABS-king The Right Questions* *Yes, my very first article is going to start with a horrible pun. Well, that last question can easily be settled, at least, and it’s a good starting point to answer the rest. As of the...
