Chugging along with our reviews of the LEGO Wicked sets, the next one we’ll be checking out is Emerald City & Kiamo Ko Castle (75689). The set has 860 pieces and retails for $89.99. Minidolls There are only two minidolls in the set which are Glinda and Elphaba. Glinda is technically a unique minidoll although the torso is the same one as in the Munchkinland set but she has the thinner dress piece instead of the larger one. Her accessory is a book of Oz that is filled with tables of spells. Elphaba also looks the same as from the Munchkinland set except that the torso uses metallic silver and gold. She still has the shoulderpad piece like before. Her accessories include her broom and the Grimmerie. Build The build features minibuilds of the Emerald City and Kiamo Ko Castle from what LEGO describes as the ending of Wicked: For Good...

If you have some LEGO Insiders points laying around, LEGO is giving you a chance to win the LEGO BrickHeadz SDCC 2016 Batman & The Joker (41491). These BrickHeadz were the first ones that LEGO released but as San Diego Comic Con exclusives back when LEGO still did exclusives to promote the theme. As of this post, the set is going for about $800-1200 on the secondary market. Each entry costs 50 Insiders points and you can have a maximum of 50 entries. If you’re a gambler, the maximum number of points you can do are worth about a $385 purchase. The LEGO Icons Captain Jack Sparrow’s Pirate Ship (10365) was just released yesterday and to go along with it, you could’ve gotten the Captain Jack Sparrow’s Compass (5009609) GWP. Unfortunately it looks like the gift with purchase set is now sold out online but LEGO Brand Stores may still have them. It was supposed to last until September 18 but the GWP is the yellow box packaging which is usually the more limited ones compared to the regular boxed GWPs. If you’re still want to see if stores still have the Black Pearl, I would highly suggest calling them first before heading out there as it is also on backorder status. Even though the ship is on the more expensive side, it seems that it is still popular among fans. Every scene can teach a lesson, and this scene has taught me not to wonder into deep caves. According to Tkytko, that is where Raus’zod has the Weeping Skull Mausoleum. The scene is full of clever details with great building techniques. And all those details come together to create a rather scary lair. Dead center there’s a nice stacked group of features: a double, curved staircase in front of a mystical gate surrounded by a bone-packed wall. Over to the left, we find a work area with disturbing tools and a fountain of blood. And on the right is a space for studying the dark arts. No doubt this is where Raus’zod sources the evil practices happening here. The post A brilliant lair for the dark arts appeared first on The Brothers Brick. This build by dicken liu is exactly what I love about the LEGO community. In theater, they call it the “yes, and” principle; you take what you were given and go further. Dicken took the Lego 76968 Tyrannosaurus Rex set and went further…all the way to Godzilla! To look at it, you’d think Dicken had made a career of studying fossilized kaiju. But, of course, Godzilla will never die, so we will never know if the skeleton is accurate. The post Godzilla gets the T-Rex treatment appeared first on The Brothers Brick.
