LEGO has revealed a new LEGO Space set that’s a pseudo-battle pack with the Alien Pack (40715). Releasing on May 1, the set contains 181 pieces and will retail for $14.99. The set features six different alien characters along with a LEGO astronaut minifigure on a small rover. Note that these sets are sort of exclusive to the LEGO Shop and LEGO Brand Stores along with LEGOLAND shops and you won’t be able to find it at big box retailers. LEGO has officially announced a brand new Despicable Me set with the Supersized Tim (75553). The build consists of 102,213 pieces and measures at 2.5 meters tall. The instruction manual itself contains 8,947 pages which supposedly takes you over a year to build but there are some fast builders that can finish before that. There’s also a gift with purchase item includes which are some safety straps to help you move the box. There’s no mentioning yet on the release date or the pricing but those details should be coming soon. This here is a microscale LEGO CN Tower, as built by Flickr user q_159. Now microscale builds are usually small, right? It is in the name after all. And this is built to a miniscule 1:400 scale, which makes the cars at its base barely two studs long. But the thing you need to remember about the CN Tower is that it’s really frickin’ tall – over half a kilometre. And as a result, this tiny LEGO model is not that tiny at all, clocking in at 3,000 pieces and nearly 1.4 m (four-and-a-half feet)! Small but mighty, indeed. Ben’s latest medieval LEGO build innovates on classic half-timbered designs. I especially apprecaite the mix of white bricks with tan and sun-yellowed white to give the plastered walls a weathered look, constrasted with the dark brown timbers. For the foundation, Ben plays with a new technique of offset stacks of 1×1 tiles clipped to tubes. While the building is striking on its own, the sand green landscaping and voluminous trees really sell the scene.
