Minifigures The set comes with minifigures of Teresa Delgado and Xavier Dobbs. Teresa wears a white off the shoulder top with a decorated pattern across the chest. I can’t tall what it shows since the trailer doesn’t give a clean look at it. Nevertheless, you can’t really see it since she wears a life jacket over it. LEGO has officially revealed the highly anticipated LEGO One Piece sets which are based on the Netflix series show. Releasing on August 1 (pre-order today), the sets are from Eiichiro Oda’s manga series which eventually became a live action series on Netflix in 2023. The sets are based on various scenes from the show such as Luffy’s past at Windmill Village (Foosha Village), Buggy’s tent battle, the fight at Arlong Park, the arrival at the Baratie restaurant, and the iconic Going Merry ship. Each set will randomly include one or more of the eight collectible Wanted posters featuring some of the pirates. In addition to the sets, there are also in-store events including a Gum Gum Fruit Make & Take. Just a few days ago, I received the latest addition to the LEGO Ideas family, 21358 Minifigure Vending Machine. I was very excited to see the set, as probably many of you will be, and I’m happy to report that… it didn’t disappoint. My first impression of the box was that the set is going to be a cool display piece, and of course, it brought a lot of nostalgic memories. It took me down to memory lane and I felt like a kid again! LEGO by nature lends itself to more square and rectangular shapes—it’s where most of us start: buildings, blocky vehicles, and squared-off attempts at capturing organic shapes. The ever-widening parts pallete allows for more rounded and smooth shaping, and there are many techniques for escaping the grid. Curves are still challenging but we can take advantage of the gaps between LEGO bricks to make curves!
