Game of Thrones fans should recognize this familiar castle, it's the Pyke, in the Iron Isles. The Ironborn are a hearty and gruff people, as proud as they are prone to violence. Here we see a not untypical ritual of succession, namely throwing the ruler from a great height and taking his crown. I'd bet just about all of us in the AFOL community, at some point, have heard someone say that we "still play with LEGOs."  Okay, fine, I build spaceships, yes.  And occasionally swoosh them around the house.  It may be a 120 studs long with over 12K pieces, but it's still a spaceship.  Now, Didier Burtin has created a modern artistic piece that may silence those snarky comments.  A wall mounted, wood backed, studs up rendering of an ocean view.  Using only lines of color, it's very effective, and looks quite impressive as a center piece over what appears to be a living room console.  So stunning, in fact, you may not have noticed his Saturn V Rocket over there on the left.  Zoom!  Original linkOriginal author: El Barto

David Zambito took the classic TIE fighter cockpits and put them to good use in this other worldly colonization vignette. He integrated them so well, to the point that you almost couldn't see them as anything but a glass dome on an another world. These microscale colonization style builds are a rather popular idea, and David added another great one to the mix. The terrain color choice really pops, drawing you into see this build. This is the intersection of Nexo Knights and Warhammer, the Deathknight by chubbybots. I think if Nexo Knights had been a little edgier like this it would have caught my imagination a little more than the theme has for me. Calin has taken a crack at Rey's rather loud, homemade speeder from the Force Awakens. There have been many models of this particular vehicle, and this is another great addition to the collection we can see online. A fantastic lineup of microscale, recognizable buildings from our history built by Simon NH. An incredible ancient pyramid temple, using a technique I've never seen before to execute that stacked effect that is so recognizable. There are some more LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2018 news regarding some of the upcoming movie tie-in sets. According to Sir von Lego on Eurobricks, we will be getting two Black Panther sets and a whopping six for Avengers: Infinity War. We’ve already seen a Black Panther minifigure from the Black Panther Pursuit (76047) from Civil War last year so hopefully we’ll see an updated outfit. We’ll also most likely see a Erik Killmonger minifigure and one for Ulysses Klaue as well. As for the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Infinity War sets, I’m surprised there are that many that tie-in sets. Considering there are a plethora of characters in the movie, I’m sure they will be spread out into all the sets with hopefully no duplicates. Also, since there are six Infinity Gems/Stones, I’m hoping one is included in every set which makes sense. What are you looking forward to seeing...
