This gorgeous French galleon was inspired by the 17th century man-of-war "Royal Louis". Builder mattlincoln4040 hasn't provided much information on this gorgeous vessel, but it's clearly minifig scale, spectacularly detailed and a serious labor of love. The trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald dropped earlier today and LEGO has revealed potentially one of the sets that will accompany the movie. The set features a Thestral-draen carriage along with Johnny Depp’s Grindelwald along with a female minifigure. There’s also reported to be another set fir the movie tentatively named Newt Scamander’s Suitcase where it features a brick-built suitcase which can open up to show a scene from the movie. I believe the sets will be available starting in August so we can probably see them at San Diego Comic Con in a few months. Update: It is confirmed that this will be a new set. This is a fascinating building design. I have to assume it's divided as asymmetrically inside as it is outside. The stepped design (literally "stairs apartment") means that every story is smaller than the one under it, but if it's divided into two apartments on the lower levels, then singles, then multistory apartments on top, then it totally works. Full Plate has experimented with many unique tree designs. This month, he's adding to his growing collection of recent landscape projects. These snow covered tress (though the white leaves could be replaced with another color if you wish), are incorporating a "weaving" technique with some the individual leaf elements being held in by friction. The end result is a very realistic tree appearance which, according to the builder, is fairly solid and can even be held upside down. Walmart has revealed two more LEGO Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom sets including one for the 25th anniversary of Jurassic Park. For the JW:FK set, it’s called the Dilophosaurus Outpost Attack (75931) and it confirms that the famous Dilophosaurus will be making a return to the movie. As for the original Jurassic Park set, it’s called the Jurassic Park Velociraptor Chase (75932). This set shows the scene from Jurassic Park where Alan, Ellie, Lex, and Tim are in the control room with the velociraptor breaking in. If you look closely at the images, there are lots of easter eggs thrown in like the Dennis Nedry magic word screen and the cold storage room with the embryos. I love builds like this one from tardisblue. You know the ones that make you go "ohh", then go "wait, what?" then go "how is that..." then go "holy moly..." You know what I mean, where you appreciate it as a whole, then you start looking at the details and find yourself all the more impressed, and increasingly so the longer you look. Builder LEGO7 has added this salty old maniac gunner to his pirate collection, and the Caribbean just got a little less safe.
