Andreas Lenander continues to build excellent sci-fi models, the latest being this very starfighter that immediately caught my attention. Just look at those wings, with the incredible angles and the colors that grab your eyes' focus. Builder Pol Mac is pretty freshly out of his dark ages, but seems to have come out with a vengeance, check out this gorgeous (first ever) dragon! It's designed to be flexible without big gaps in the body, and I'd say it was successful. My favorite detail has to be the eyes though, what a simple, elegant solution. Now he's back with a little mechanical wonder that I can't wait to see in motion, one of DaVinci's concepts for a human powered flight, the ornithopter. It’s not even summer yet but we have a first look at the upcoming LEGO Creator Christmas Train (30543) polybag. It has 66 pieces and it’s actually a decent looking train for a being a polybag. The build contains the locomotive, a cargo cart, and a passenger cart. There’s no word on availability of it at this time but I have a feeling it might come to Walmart or Target. I've always been fascinated by Land Rovers. Not because I'm particularly the outdoorsy type, or that I like luxury, it precisely the fact that I'm neither that makes it fascinating. Land Rover used to be pretty much pure utility, and all over the world they're in use in remote locations for their durability (or at least ease of repair in the bush). But steadily over time they've rebranded themselves as a luxury car. Now they're driven by people that will happily show off all the rugged features, but never ever use those features on the 405 freeway or on the way to yoga. This rescue Defender by builder Gilcélio is true to the roots and spirit of Land Rover, utility, practicality and ruggedness, serving and protecting and getting there in reasonable comfort. A few weeks ago, we got our first look at the highly anticipated The LEGO Ninjago Movie Ninjago City Docks (70657). We now have a clearer look at the set at a slightly different angle than shown on the box art. There’s still no word on the piece count but there is now a suggested retail price of € 249,99. If this is correct, then it’ll be around $290 give or take a few dollars.
