The LEGO Creator Roller Coaster (10261) is now available and it looks very impressive as it is but what if you combine it with multiple copies of the set? Nati con i LEGO has released a new video of them showing off the Roller Coaster with three sets combined which is a feat in itself. The first thing that your eyes are probably drawn to is the constructed loop. There’s enough height on the initial drop that the momentum lets the carts go through the loop with ease. I wish the video showed a wider shot of the drop from the top of the tracks but nevertheless it is pretty stunning seeing three Roller Coaster sets combined into one larger coaster. The LEGO Group has announced that they are partnering up with the popular Swedish furniture company IKEA to promote more creative play in the home environment. The press release doesn’t go into detail of what will be happening with this partnership however my guess is that we could see LEGO branded furniture being sold at IKEA. I have undeniable ties to the US Navy. My father served and so did my father-in-law. While my dad  never talked much about his service, my wife's father told me some very interesting stories about being a radar operator on an S2F Tracker. If I had to guess, there were at least a few of these A-3Bs on the aircraft carrier as well. Builder Mad Physicist has done it again with a large scale aircraft of one of the Navy's largest aircraft (they didn't call it "the whale" for nothing). It's loaded with details including foldable wings, articulated air brakes and an opening escape hatch. The big news yesterday was that teaser trailer for The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part was released online yesterday and I’m going to try and do a breakdown of what happened in the trailer and what sets we could get from LEGO from what was shown. It’s been over a year since the LEGO Ideas Voltron – Defender of the Universe hit 10,000 supporters and basically there has been no information about it since it was announced that it would become an official set. I did report on rumored pricing but now there might be information on a release date for the set. Candidbricks has found from a South Korean news site, IT Chosun, that Voltron would be released on August 1 as was told to them by an official from LEGO Korea. The reason for the long delay is because LEGO needed more time to get the license to produce the set. Although a release date was stated, it’s still not a confirmation until LEGO actually announces it online or through a press release. I've always loved the Nebulon-B, from the first moment I saw it on screen in the Empire Strikes Back I was intrigued. It was designed by my dear old friend Nilo Rodis, inspired by an outboard motor. The description for this MOC says that it's "original creation by dranac modifications and photo by one case". Last week, we saw an image of the new LEGO BrickHeadz Disney Frozen sets from a Polish LEGO catalog but now there are official images of the two sets. As shown before, there are two Frozen BrickHeadz sets which are reportedly coming out in July. There are now official images of another LEGO BrickHeadz two-pack set coming out later this year with Disney Ariel & Ursula (41623) courtesy of Promobricks. The set contains 361 pieces and it features two of the main characters in The Little Mermaid. There’s no word on when the release date is but it’s safe to say that it will retail for $19.99 as with the other LEGO BrickHeadz two-packs.
