The Gravity Falls: The Mystery Shack by TopLego8 is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. This must be a popular topic because this is the second Gravity Falls project to reach the goal in a short amount of time. The build consists of 2,510 pieces and it features the iconic shack from the show and it also proposes eight minifigures. The project now joins the Boeing 737 Passenger Plane and Colosseum (Architecture Style) as the ones that have reached the Third 2020 Review Stage. There’s a new independent service called Brick Hound that sends you text alerts for when items are available again on the LEGO Shop. It checks the status of an item and if it sees a change, it’ll send you an alert. I’ve had a few readers message me about it saying that it works so I’ve signed up for it to test it out and sure enough, it worked on the LEGO Star Wars Bespin Duel (75294). Currently, it only works for the US market and if you don’t want any more alerts, you can also unsubscribe from it as well. Msg & data rates may apply. Your phone number will only be used to send alerts as requested by you. No other personally identifying information will be collected, and your phone number will not be shared. You may text “STOP” at any time to immediately terminate all text messages. The...

Alright, gang, we’re still alive and kickin’ here at Bricknerd Industries, LLC. Well, alive at least. Anyway, it’s SHIPtember if you haven’t noticed, and today is the 15th. So if you haven’t started, you better get your arse in gear! I just finished mine today, got some pics, and edited them. I even came up with an interesting name form my SHIP, the General George J. Stannard. Never heard of him? Well, that’s the idea, just like the ships of the US Space Force Fleet. Laugh all you want, whatever’s up there must be doing some awesome stuff. At least I’d like to think so. “Posting your own build??!?!? Totally lame!!” Hey, that guy on the other LEGO blog, I forget what it’s called… Anyway, he’s ALWAYS posting his own stuff. So, talk to the manager if you’ve got a problem. Original linkOriginal author: El Barto

Last week, LEGO did a teaser for their upcoming collaboration with Adidas for the A-ZX series of shoes. HighSnobiety was sent an early pair of the shoes to take a look at and they don’t look that bad. The packaging comes in LEGO 2×3 brick box but the inner box looks to be a custom box to HighSobiety so you probably won’t get that when you order it. The shoe itself is mostly gray with accents of blue, green, red, and yellow which are LEGO’s basic colors. There’s no word on a release date but it should be some time later this month at select retailers and at Adidas.com. It was also stated the price point could be between $120-$130 but that was just a guess. Who’s looking forward to picking up a pair? LEGO has given a statement on the recent surge of projects that are hitting 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. Should they change the way LEGO Ideas works whether it being upping the supporter threshold or decrease the timeframe needed to reach 10k? Since the amount of projects have doubled to tripled the amount we usually get, LEGO has contributed this to the free time people have online due to COVID-19. The trend is still too early too see whether it will continue or not so they will not be making any changes to LEGO Ideas at this time but they are planning changes for the long term. This includes addressing the current trends along with realizing more AFOL project designs while being mindful of what LEGO Ideas is supposed to be. Over the past six months, we have read a growing number of comments from the fan community related to the...

The deadline to enter the LEGO Ideas Second 2020 Review Stage has passed and there were a whopping 35 projects that qualified for it. This breaks the record set last review stage with 26. If you’ve followed my posts, I gave an update on each one that qualified and I’ve even missed a couple because it got really hard trying to keep up with it. There is a variety of licensed and non-licensed projects so LEGO will have their hands full trying to critique each one to see if they will become an official LEGO Ideas set. Since there are so many projects that qualified, nine more than last time, hopefully more will pass than the accustomed two or three we usually get every review stage. Which one(s) do you think will pass? The post Thirty Five Projects Qualify for LEGO Ideas Second 2020 Review Stage appeared first on The Brick...
