In the middle of February, LEGO offered the LEGO VIDIYO Welcome Pack for those who are subscribed to the newsletter, while supplies lasted. I got mine in a few days ago and everything that was in it included 2 Backstage Pass lanyards, 2 sticker sheet sets, 2 shoelace charm packs, a welcome letter, and free access to the VIP Virtual Pass. The lanyards features the Party Llama head on the front and a lenticular print of it shaking the maracas. Another lanyard added to my large collection of lanyards. This morning, the LEGO Marvel Carnage Helmet (76199) went live for pre-order and LEGO may have accidentally revealed a Venom Helmet set as well. If you look at the back of the box (which is still up on the LEGO Shop), you can see that the top of it shows the Venom logo along with “Assembled from the Spider-Man Universe.” We can most likely expect to see a Venom set (76187) as we get get closer to the release of the new Venom: Let There Be Carnage movie this summer. On my next review of the 2021 wave of LEGO Monkie Kid sets, I have the Spider Queen’s Arachnoid Base (80022). The set has 1,170 pieces and will retail for $119.99. Minifigures There are six minifigures in this set, Monkie Kid, Monkey King, Pigsy, Spider Queen, Syntax, and Jia. Like with some of the other MK sets, Monkie Kid is wearing the newer jacket with the Monkey King face on the front and the word sky on the back. His double-sided head shows him with a scared look on one side and a determined look on the other. Note that his eyes on the determined side are blank like he is changing to the Monkey King. The LEGO Marvel Carnage Helmet (76199) has now been listed on the LEGO Shop which means that there will be a wider release for the set. Yesterday we posted that Target will be taking pre-orders for the set today as their “exclusive” but for those who don’t want to do that, there’s another option. For those who have the Target app, they have been sending out a push notification for the exclusive LEGO Marvel Carnage Helmet (76199). There have been reports in the Reddit thread that multiple people have gotten the alert. There’s no release date announced but pre-orders for it will go up starting tomorrow 3/11 at 8am CST. A few hours ago, LEGO published their annual results from 2020 and it was concluded that they had very strong growth last year. Some of the main takeaways are below: • Consumer sales grew 21 percent for the full year vs 2019.• Revenue grew 13 percent to DKK 43.7 billion compared with 2019.• Operating profit grew 19 percent to DKK 12.9 billion.
