The Martian by Mr Sci-Fi is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The build feature one of my favorite space movies and it includes the Ares IV MAV, Rover 2, Pathfinder, and the Hab, all of which recreates. We are currently up to 95 projects that have reached the Second 2025 Review Stage. The post LEGO Ideas The Martian Achieves 10,000 Supporters appeared first on The Brick Fan. Some journeys take us far, far away. We start by putting together a few sets, and one thing leads to another, and suddenly a whole universe opens up to us. Today, we’re going to visit Nicolas Riveau’s extended universe, so hop aboard the nearest rocket to begin the journey. Meet Nicolas Sam: Hello Nicolas, I was lucky enough to cross paths with your rockets at the Let's Go exhibition in early April, where I discovered your creations in the flesh (and bricks). Can you introduce yourself? Where does your passion for the space sector come from? Nicolas: I’m Nicolas. I'm passionate about Space and LEGO. As a teenager, I was fascinated by stars, planets and the adventurous spirit of space exploration. Of course, the Star Wars movies came along, but that’s not the whole story. Developing a Full Range of Rockets Sam: When and how did you get started? Nicolas: As...

A couple more nostalgic-induced projects have reached the 10,000 supporter goal on LEGO Ideas. We’re now up to 94 projects that have reached the Second 2025 Review Stage even though it seems that the LEGO TikTok trend is now over and we’re back to “normal” voting. In this ongoing “Before and After” series, we explore how custom-made creations sometimes anticipate official elements eventually released by LEGO. For this special summer edition, we’re diving deep (literally) into underwater creatures and swimming back up to land for a few surprises on the surface. Let’s take a closer look at these nautical elements and their official LEGO counterparts. Dangerous Anglerfish The depths of the ocean hold great potential for some amazing underwater adventures, especially in LEGO form. The sea bed is full of colorful coral, lurking monsters, and if you get too deep, one very hungry anglerfish. This monster is a crazy mix of glued and sculpted paper, with LED lights on the inside. I sculpted the anglerfish specially for dark and mysterious scenes where the small source of light from the fish’s body is a key element of storytelling. The fish becomes the main part of the environment. It’s...

Next up on our reviews of the LEGO Jurassic World sets, we check out one of the more expensive sets, the Raptor & Titanosaurus Tracking Mission (76973). Coming in at $109.99, the set has only 582 pieces. The price is up 10% from the $99.99 that it was originally announced back in March. Minifigures There three minifigures in the set, Zora Bennett, Martin Krebs, and Dr. Henry Loomis. Zora has a tactical harness on the torso with more equipment printed on the legs. Her double-sided head shows her with a content look on one side and an angry expression on the other. Her accessories include a syringe gun along with a flashlight. Martin Krebs has a dirty white shirt with a water canteen hooked around the belt. He also has content and angry expressions on his head. His accessories include a syringe gun and a stick. Dr. Henry Loomis wears a...

A couple more LEGO Ideas projects have reached the 10,000 supporter goal in the past few days and it has considerably slowed down. We’re up to 92 projects in the Second 2025 Review Stage and it’s getting hard to keep up and see which projects have reached. This is due to LEGO Ideas not having a decent sorting function that shows the latest ones in order so you’ll have to scroll and check which ones you haven’t seen before. A few days ago, LEGO revealed the LEGO Ideas Italian Riviera (21359) and they said that there was a Mediterranean Scene gift with purchase set to go along with it. It was thought that it would be an actual scene build but it is actually the Italian Market Van (5009422) which has just been revealed on the LEGO Shop. The 142 piece set features a blue Piaggio Ape carrying a lemon tree along with a toolbox, broom, shovel, flowerpot, and a box with a fish and starfish. It’s a neat little set to go along with the Italian Riviera but the press release was kind of misleading. Boys and girls ages 10 plus can play out fun stories with this Italian Market Van building toy, a fun gift for kids with a passion for Italy and cool vehicles. Inspired by the classic Piaggio Ape model seen on the streets of Italy,...

A late night LEGO Amazon deal has popped up with the LEGO Icons Boutique Hotel (10287) being discounted by 26%. This drops the price of the set down to $170.94 which is very close to its lowest price. That was set back last September when it was discounted by 27% so it’s pretty close.
