A few weeks ago we got a first look at the extremely rare LEGO Peter Jackson minifigure we now know the buyer and how much they paid for it. We can now confirm that Samuel Burkhardt aka rarest_lego_minifigures on Instagram is the buyer which isn’t too surprising. The more shocking part is that the final price of it was $38,028 and if you account for import taxes, it’s value is probably worth over $40,000. When you check out Samuel’s account, you can see thousands and thousands of dollars of rare LEGO items that he has obtained throughout the years and the Peter Jackson minifigure may be one of the most rare ones in his collection. At this point, there’s no question that 100 qualified projects is well within possibility and I’m going to venture a guess that we might even reach as high as 120.
