I love a LEGO speeder bike build! When I’m short for time or have builders block, I build a little speeder and am always impressed with how useful those small parts can be. Here, Lucas Shannon puts that versatility to work with a bike of their own. Handcuffs are used to hold onto laser pistols which adds great texture and detail. This also allows a connection point for the interesting windscreen assembly, attached via a clip. Taking a look at the back, we can make out the root piece upon which this hover bike is built: a motorbike frame sans the wheels! The way that Lucas has filled the wheel wells and utilized just about every possible connection point on the frame is quite impressive! LEGO has been testing the waters with up-scaled minifigures in recent years like with the LEGO Wooden Minifigure (853967), Harry Potter & Hermione Granger (76393), and more recently, the LEGO House A Minifigure Tribute (40504). The latest addition to the lineup is the Up-Scaled LEGO Minifigure (40649). It has 654 pieces and retails for $49.99. Minifigure There is a generic minifigure that has a red torso and blue legs which is what the up-scaled version of it is based on. Build The build is very straight-forward with the number of bags corresponding to the area of the minifigure. The first part is for the torso. Like with Redbeard, there’s an interesting section here for the arms to put them at an angle. The rest of the parts are for the start of the legs. The legs are pretty plain and the interior of them has spots to connect the Technic axles...

Minifigures There are two minifigures in the set, a male and female. The male has a white tank top with a sailboat in the front. His double-sided head shows him with a smile on one side and a scared expression on the other. The female has on what appears to be a fruit design top. Her double-sided head shows her with a smirk on onne side and wearing sunglasses on the other. Build The main build for this set is the beach camper van itself.
