LEGO Star Wars Up-Scaled Darth Vader Minifigure (75461) Review
A new LEGO Up-Scaled Minifigure set has just released on the LEGO Shop and it is the first Star Wars licensed one with the Up-Scaled Darth Vader Minifigure (75461). It has 1,028 pieces and retails for $99.99.
Build
If you’ve built any of the Up-Scaled Minifigures before, the premise is pretty much the same. You first build the two legs which are basically large blocks. Inside of them are some ratchet joints that you connect together at the hips. You do get a decent range of motion as you can pose Vader standing, sitting, or even walking.
Next up is the torso that consists of smaller sections connected with Technic pins and they make up the slanted angle that minifigure torsos have. Unfortunately, this set does have stickers and there are some for Vader’s chest control box and the belt controls.
One of the arms is just a regular one and the right arm has him holding his lightsaber. The lightsaber is pretty secure as there’s a long Technic axle rod that goes all the way through the hand which has some bricks with axle holes that cover up nicely for the hilt.
The head is fairly technical but the end result is good. It does use some stickers for the reflections on the eyes. The head attaches to the neck that uses a turntable piece with a Technic axle for support but not before adding the fabric cape on.
