One night of the year, reindeer have been spotted on rooftops around the globe, but for the Sami people of northern Scandinavia and Russia, Reindeer are integral to daily life, and the rare white reindeer holds special significance. Mitsuru Nikaido creates a white reindeer as the latest of his mechanical creatures series, adding to the builder’s impressive menagerie of monochrome beasts. Perhaps it is a coincidence that this reindeer is all white, as that is the builder’s signature aesthetic, but it still captures the haunting beauty of the legend-steeped animal. Mitsuru-san has had an incredible 2025 with his LEGO creations chosen to join the Masterpiece Gallery in Billund earlier this year. With three books collecting his works, Mitsuru-san shows no signs of slowing down. What animals and prehistoric beasts will the builder create next, I wonder?
