In a pleasant surprise, the LEGO The Simpsons theme returns this year with the LEGO Icons The Simpsons: Krusty Burger (10352). The set has 1,635 pieces and will retail for $209.99. As an incentive to purchase the set when it releases from June 1-7, LEGO is also releasing the Living Room (5009325) as a gift with purchase set. Minifigures There are seven minifigures in the set, Homer, Bart, Lisa, Farmer Krusty, Sideshow Bob, Squeaky-Voiced Teen (aka Jeremy Freedman), and Officer Lou. This version of Homer is a new variant from his previous minifigures but the only difference is that his white shirt is now stained. Everything else about him is the same. Those who know me know that I’m particularly fond of art. So, the release of a LEGO set that combines brick building with fine art naturally caught my attention. When the BrickNerd team suggested creating an article based on set 31215 Vincent van Gogh – Sunflowers, I was immediately on board. I won’t go into the interpretation of Van Gogh’s original painting—plenty of great resources do that already, and I encourage you to explore them. They offer a deeper understanding of the artist’s approach and how he saw the world.
