BrickLink has announced that they have teamed up with LEGO to launch something new called the AFOL Designer Program. According to the post, BrickLink will be hosting the program for a short time so I assume LEGO will be hosting it themselves in the future. LEGO has revealed another LEGO BrickHeadz set with the Fantastic Beasts Newt Scamander & Gellert Grindelwald (41631). The set has 247 pieces and will retail for $19.99. I can't help but feel a little sorry for Saruman. He was so duped by Sauron he built an army, only to have a bunch of slow-moving talking trees show up and kick his butt. But in the end he deserved everything, and should have known better. Builder cypiratemocs recreates a small part of a pivotal moment in the battle for Middle Earth, the last march of the Ents. While the description of this strange character by builder Prhymus says this is a "wandering shepherd in need of a new flock", I'm not certain what kind of flock we're talking about here. The LEGO Group has released their report for the first half of 2018. If you remember back in March, the profits for LEGO declined last year and it looks like there has been mixed results so far for the first half of this year. Consumer sales went up on l% while the revenues stayed flat however the operating profits went up 4%. One of the main reasons for the numbers is because of the closure of Toys R Us in the US, UK, and Australia. The company has to find evolve how they distribute their products in the retail setting. The top performing themes so far from January 1 through June 30 where LEGO Technic, LEGO Ninjago, LEGO Classic, and LEGO Creator. I almost scrolled right past this awesome little MOC by builder jigsawjo. Yes, it's a LEGO creation, look closer. Those are technic ball joints for the grapes, attached to plant leaves.
