Spend any time in London and you’re bound to run into this little guy, Paddington Bear. I ran into him at Hamleys, the oldest and largest toy store in London, and I brought him home to America. Builder vincentkiew is clearly a fan too, and has crafted this charming version in bricks. Original linkOriginal author: Tommy
So. Much. Shiny. The Dodge Tomahawk may have never gotten past the concept phase, but you have to admit, she was a beauty. It was a radical design, that some would argue wasn’t really a motorcycle because it actually had four wheels, but I think it was through and through. This version by ianying616 has all the attitude of the real thing, and a heck of a lot of super shiny parts (my spirit animal is clearly a raccoon). Original linkOriginal author: Tommy
Seven Facts About Seahorses: They have no teeth or stomach The male is the one that gives birth. They are masters of disguise. A baby seahorse is called a “fry” (isn't that cute?) They’re actually poor swimmers. A group of seahorses is called a “herd” When built in LEGO, like this one by Brother Steven, they are especially adorable. Original linkOriginal author: Tommy
I love Christmas, and even though Mr. Grinch here has something against it (he comes around eventually) I still love him too. I especially like this version by builder Suck My Brick. But as much as I dig him, I can’t help but be distracted and awed by that Seussian organ in the background there, wow! Original linkOriginal author: Tommy
Confession time, I’ve never seen Sleeping Beauty. Yes, as big a Disney nerd as I am, I’ve never seen it, at least in it’s entirety. I know the whole story, mostly I think, but I’ve never watched it. Despite that I have a genuine appreciation for this lovely interpretation of it’s title character Aurora (aka Briar Rose) by builder retinence. By the way, why doesn’t Aurora have a last name? When the LEGO Overwatch theme was first announced back in May, I literally had to sit down at work and soak it all in. There was no actual reveal of the sets by LEGO themselves as we found them using some tricky methods. The LEGO Overwatch sets will be coming out in a few weeks and we were lucky enough to get our hands on the sets ahead of time thanks to LEGO. The first set I’ll be taking a look at is Tracer vs. Widowmaker (75970). It has 129 pieces and retails for $14.99 which is a little high but let’s check it out and see if it is worth the price. Minifigures “Cheers love, the cavalry’s here.” – Tracer The mascot of Overwatch is Tracer who has the ability to time jump. The torso shows her with a tan colored bomber jacket with her chronal accelerator in the middle....

Christmas is only two weeks away and Warner Bros. has released a new animated short called Emmet’s Holiday Party: A LEGO Movie Short. In the short, Emmet is trying to bring some cheer to Apocalypseburg in times of despair while Queen Watevra Wa’Nabi and Sweet Mayhem watch on. Check out the full two and a half minute video below. Who says monsters have to be scary. Have you ever seen an angler fish? Those are scary, and they’re just fish. I prefer my monsters to be blue collar regular joes just doing their part. Meet James P. "Sulley" Sullivan and Mike Wazowski, the top scare team at Monsters Inc by builder Palixa And The Bricks. Oh, and that short one is Boo, she’s not exactly supposed to be here. Starting tomorrow, LEGO will have a new promotional item with the LEGO Seasonal Reindeer Head Christmas Ornament (5005253). You can get it with purchases of $50 or more at LEGO Stores and on Shop@Home, while supplies last. After taking a year off, LEGO introduces the 28 piece Reindeer Head which joins the 2014 Christmas Train (5002813), 2015 Christmas Train (5003083), and the 2016 Toy Soldier (5004420). Like with the previous ornaments, the parts are inside a little green pouch along with the instructions and the string. The build is very straight-forward and the finished result looks a lot like a reindeer head mount which is kind of morbid. I do recommend changing the black 1×1 round plate for the nose to a red one to represent Rudolph as it makes the build a bit more festive. Thank you to LEGO for sending in this set for me to review.
