I’m really digging this back alley piece by builder Everblack. It reminds me of a movie set, and also of the many sets we have piled in the “brick backlot” here at the studio. I can just imagine this with proper movie lighting, watching a scene play out. Maybe a little drifting fog, with eerie or dramatic music playing, a dog barking in the distance…I digress. Are keyboard guitars still a thing? I could google it I suppose, but I want to believe they are so I’ll just assume. Being a kid of the 80’s and the first generation of MTV I remember keytars very well. But since I haven’t seen a music video in ages (they still make them right?) I have no idea if these are still in any way popular. This pretty awesome alien by builder Djokson looks ready to rock out, and I’m ready to watch and listen. Original linkOriginal author: Tommy

Here’s a cool little contest over on LEGO Ideas that I just found out about which couple impact a future gift with purchase promotion. A few months ago, LEGO ran a contest for fans to build a vintage car that could be used in the streets of LEGO Modular Buildings. There are a number of great submissions and the best were chosen for a fan vote and the winning build will become an official gift with purchase set. There are quite a few that would look great as a standalone set so it’s cool for LEGO to get input on what we will be getting. The deadline for the fan vote is December 4 so you only have a little bit of time left to choose your favorite vintage car. Amazon has kicked off their Cyber Monday 2019 sales with LEGO sets that are discounted from 20% to upwards of 70% off the regular retail price. The sets chosen for the sale have no rhyme or reason as they range from a wide variety of themes. Keep in mind the sets listed on the page aren’t comprehensive as there are many other sets that are also discounted that aren’t on the list. The LEGO Batman 1989 Batmobile (76139) became available at midnight EST on Shop@Home and as a bonus, LEGO also offered Limited Edition 1989 Batmobile (40433) with the purchase. It looks like the promo is no longer available at least for US Shop@Home but LEGO Brand Stores might still have them. The limited edition one was supposed to be available until December 5, while supplies last, but it didn’t even make it past one day as it doesn’t show up anymore in the cart. I’m not sure exactly when it went out of stock but it’s gone now. If you were online last night trying to get it, a majority of shoppers were frustrated with Shop@Home because of all the site errors, which seems like the norm now for big releases. Hopefully those who wanted one got it even after the disastrous launch. The post LEGO Batman Limited Edition 1989 Batmobile (40433)...

When LEGO revealed the LEGO Technic Bugatti Chiron (42083) last year, they also did a life-sized version of the vehicle. Starting next week, Southern California residents will be able to see it for a limited time at LEGOLAND California. They have announced that starting on December 5, the LEGO Technic Bugatti Chiron will be on display at The Big Shop. This car is a 1:1 replica of the world’s fastest car that is made entirely out of Technic bricks and is powered by Power Function motors. The Black Friday 2019 sale for the LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192) is now live on Amazon. It is now on sale for $480 which is 40% off or a whopping $320 discount. There probably won’t be a better deal than this one for a very long time, if ever again. Quantities could be limited so jump on it while you can. Good luck!
