Today is Valentine’s Day and LEGO has recently released a video showing some strangers going out on their first dates while breaking the ice using the new LEGO Botanical Collection sets. The three couples engage in conversation using the Flower Bouquet (10280) and the Bonsai Tree (10281) that is set in between them. This relieves some of the tension that is inherently set when people go on first dates and it hopefully encourages others to try it when they go on dates. LEGO has been pushing the LEGO 18+ product strategy a lot since its introduction last year and it has paid off for them as more adults have gotten into building LEGO in recent years. Although the LEGO Technic McLaren Senna GTR (42123) has been out for a while now, LEGO has just released a video of set. LEGO Designer Aurélien Rouge talk the process of creating the car. One challenge he mentions is the V8 engine for the car which uses smaller elements to create which is connected to the real axle. LEGO has released the official trailer for the upcoming season of LEGO Ninjago – The Island. Misako, Master Wu, and Clutch Powers has gone missing after going on an expedition and the ninjas are going to look for them on a brand new adventure. They encounter the Keepers of the Amulet and get captured but somehow get free. Along with the show, LEGO will also be releasing four sets based on the new season that will be released on March 1. The LEGO Star Wars AT-ST Raider (75254) is currently on sale on Amazon for 20% off. Due to the recent news that Cara Dune’s actress, Gina Carano, is no longer part of the show, I have a feeling that this is the last time we’ll see the character in minifigure form, unless she is recasted in the future. I won’t get political here but if you’re wanting the set, I would suggest picking it up where you can find it due to many reseller groups telling their members to buy up all the stock to flip it. There were a lot of fan favorites and it was definitely hard for LEGO to choose from the list. LEGO has announced that the Sonic Mania – Green Hill Zone project by toastergrl has been approved by LEGO Ideas and will become an official set. It was held over from the First 2020 Review Results for further evaluation and will now go into the product development phase. LEGO Japan has posted a teaser of the upcoming spring 2021 wave of LEGO Monkie Kid sets. We already know about one of them with the Monkie Kid’s Team Dronecopter (80023) and there are some set names for a few of them with Red Son’s Inferno Jet (80019), White Dragon Horse Jet (80020), and Spider Queen’s Arachnoid Base (80021) but we don’t know what they look like at this time.
