After a weekend of controversy, the fan vote for the LEGO Ideas If We Can Turn Back Time building contest will be reset with five new projects from five different creators. Due to an oversight of the rules, the fan vote consisted of two projects from the same creator which was prohibited in the TOS stating that only one entry per person would be considered fro the fan vote. This reset will not impact the second fan vote in September. Full details of the fan vote reset will be coming soon. Last month, LEGO announced some new LEGO Super Mario sets coming this August but we only had the product images. German retailer Lucky Bricks has posted some product listings for these sets and they have also provided the box art for them. As you can see, the boxes have drastically changed from previous sets with the more white and red color scheme and they look more like standalone ones and not advertising too much on the course building expansion. In December 2021 and January 2022, the Space Jam contest was held on Flickr. With my friends Lokiloki, BobDeQuatre and F@bz, we formed a team to participate in the collaborative challenge whose main goal was to invent a Sci-Fi corporation. We had the idea to create a corporation around the breeding and raising of frogs until their consumption in a chain of restaurants. The whole industrial frog-farm-to-table endeavor gave me the idea to embark on an artistic classic; that of diverting the famous painting of Edward Hopper. I will describe in this article all the steps on how this MOC came to be. Nighhawks is one of the best-known paintings from Edward Hopper, circa 1942. LEGO has released a short video celebrating 25 years of the LEGO Star Wars theme and it looks like they have teased some new minifigures that we could be getting later this year. At the end of the video, there’s a very quick photo op of all of the Star Wars minifigures that LEGO has made so far but there are also some new ones in the picture as well including Ahsoka’s Ezra Bridger, Cal Kestis from the Star Wars Jedi game series, Nien Numb, and Young Leia from the Obi-Wan Kenobi series.
