For a while now, Bartosz Sobecki aka Sobek_Bricks has been engaging the online AFOL community in an amazing way by showing off well-thought-out minifigure combinations. Known as fig-bashing, creating custom minifigures out of existing parts is a longstanding tradition in the community, but Sobek takes it to the next level. An amusing tale of animal rescue from Skaerbaek Fan Weekend in 2023. Many moons ago, in the land of Vikings and plastic bricks, a small group of intrepid travellers sought out interesting goods and wares at the local purveyor of previously owned fine goods. The monkey and a traveller Amongst the wares, they were delighted to see a friendly, but lonely, monkey of epic proportions. The first traveller wished to rescue the monkey, but did not have enough coins of the realm. The second and third travellers also wished to rescue the monkey but did not have the means in which to safely transport it to their faraway abode. The travellers were sad to have to abandon the monkey, but the fates were not with them that day. Not all was lost, however, as another band of intrepid travellers appeared just a short time later. Superman returns to LEGO in 2025 and he’ll be in the Superman Mech vs. Lex Luthor (76302). The set has 120 pieces and retails for $14.99. Minifigures The set only features minifigures of Superman and Lex Luthor. Supes has the classic red and blue suit with a new yellow belt. He has the usual double-sided head with the smirk on one side and the red eyes on the other. This version of Superman uses a the newer fabric cape. Lex Luthor has on one of his green and purple warsuits. I will say that the green on it really pops and the purple accents don’t look bad either. The look is complete with the trans-green shoulder armor piece. He has a stud shooter and a trans-green crystal representing a piece of Kryptonite.
