Late last year, I reported on some rumors for the summer 2018 wave of LEGO Star Wars sets and it looks like they have been confirmed by Promobricks. Although photography was not allowed there, they’ve managed to take somewhat detailed notes of some of the sets that we should be expecting later this year. If you’ve been holding out on getting the 60 Years of the LEGO Brick (40290), your luck has probably ran out. After about four days, the set is now sold out on Shop@Home at least here in the US. The promotion has now been replaced with last month’s LEGO City Dragster with a purchase of $35 or more. As predicted before the promo started, I figured this set would be very popular with the fans as it has a nostalgic vibe to it. There may still be some LEGO Brand Stores that may still have them available so your best chance is to call them up directly and see if they do indeed have them. If you are a LEGO Black VIP Card holder or flagged account, you may have received an email regarding the first promotion LEGO will be having for members. The offer is basically double VIP points on all LEGO Star Wars purchases through the whole month of February.
