LEGO Rebrick has a new building contest to win some serious prizes including a collection of the summer 2018 LEGO Friends sets. We haven’t seen the summer 2018 LEGO Friends sets yet but according to the prize descriptions, they will be a racing subtheme this year. LEGO wants you to build a 8×12 stud LEGO Friends Go-Kart vignette which has to consist of a Go-Kart along with some surrounding actions. This could be some characters preparing for the race, trees, street, part of a race track, or traffic signs. The build should only relate to LEGO Friends and fit into the Heartlake City universe. The trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald dropped earlier today and LEGO has revealed potentially one of the sets that will accompany the movie. The set features a Thestral-draen carriage along with Johnny Depp’s Grindelwald along with a female minifigure. There’s also reported to be another set fir the movie tentatively named Newt Scamander’s Suitcase where it features a brick-built suitcase which can open up to show a scene from the movie. I believe the sets will be available starting in August so we can probably see them at San Diego Comic Con in a few months. Update: It is confirmed that this will be a new set. The trailer for Incredibles 2 came out during the 2018 Winter Olympics and we didn’t really much there but Walmart has released the images of the LEGO Juniors sets that will be accompanying the movie. Walmart has revealed two more LEGO Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom sets including one for the 25th anniversary of Jurassic Park. For the JW:FK set, it’s called the Dilophosaurus Outpost Attack (75931) and it confirms that the famous Dilophosaurus will be making a return to the movie. As for the original Jurassic Park set, it’s called the Jurassic Park Velociraptor Chase (75932). This set shows the scene from Jurassic Park where Alan, Ellie, Lex, and Tim are in the control room with the velociraptor breaking in. If you look closely at the images, there are lots of easter eggs thrown in like the Dennis Nedry magic word screen and the cold storage room with the embryos. Welcome to the wild, whimsical, wonderful world of Salonica from builder Gunman. There's loads of detail in this colorful and imaginative diorama, I highly recommend clicking through to explore the larger images. Measuring in at 144 x 144 studs it's definitely on the large size, but not so big it's difficult to take in.
