Although they call it SHIPtember, the nature of the beast means we often get enormous LEGO spaceships popping up well into October. Building one is one thing, photographing such large creations is a whole challenge unto itself! SweStar has risen to both challenges in admirable fashion. I love the muted colours on this freighter; the sand green and blue coupled with those pops of yellow and orange looks really good. I really love the fact that they’ve expanded the scene beyond just the Seriously Huge Investment in Parts (SHIP) too. The fan vote for BrickLink Designer Program Series 3 is now live and you can now choose your favorite designs for a chance to purchase them in the future. You can use the three emojis to show your interest from the 185 designs and BrickLink will choose five of them using a their criteria. Voting will run until October 20 and their review stage will run from October 21 through November 19. The winning designs will be announced on November 20 and BrickLink will start preparing them for production.
