Earlier this August, BrickCon.PH 2025 brought together LEGO fans from all over Metro Manila, Philippines for a weekend of displays, games, and cosplays. Organized by the Brick Traders Community (BTC), BrickCon.PH provided a venue for fans to display their creations and collections, and spend time together as a community. Add LEGO treasure hunting in the mix, and it was definitely time well spent for everyone who attended. Here’s a quick run-down on what I loved about the event along with some photos of the builds I saw. The Displays BTC is well known for its dedicated collectors, and they came in full force. A minifig wall showcased minifigures from a wide range of LEGO themes, including Disney, Star Wars, Minecraft, Nexo Knights, various series of Collectible Minifigures, and Ninjago. Among the set collectors, Star Wars was especially popular, with minifig armies and ships on display. There were also many vehicles (land,...
The new LEGO Wicked: For Good sets will be releasing on September 1 and we’re now starting our series of reviews of the sets starting with Glinda’s Wedding Day (75688). The set has 476 pieces and will retail for $39.99. Minidolls There are two minidolls in the set, Glinda and Madame Morrible. Glinda is in her white wedding dress that is static. There’s some metallic silver printing for the little glitter and butterflies. She does have two interchangeable heads, one for her somber look and the other for her shocked expression. Her hairpiece has a hole to attach the tiara on it. Madame Morrible wears a dark green dress with some turquoise tail printing on it. Her face printing is pretty standard with not too much emotion. Her hair is the curly white one that looks almost identical to the movie. Her accessory is a printed wedding invitation heart with G+F....

As BrickNerd’s resident cursed build expert, I was given the sacred duty of… having fun with LEGO One Piece 75638 Battle at Arlong Park. What’s so cursed about it? LONG ARM LUFFY! I bet he can always reach to top shelf Look at all the fun things this minifigure can do! But let’s take a quick peek at the set before we get into the full fig funkiness. Battle at Arlong Park Luffy loves his friends, and Battle at Arlong Park comes with the third and fourth member to join the Straw Hat Pirates: Nami & Usopp. Best friends! Of course they need some bad guys to fight, right? Here we have some Fish-Men, Arlong, and Chu. Arlong leads the Arlong Pirates, the main antagonists in the first season of One Piece. Chu is an officer in Arlong’s crew. I wonder what figbarg the afol community will come up with using...

As I said in my previous Quick Build article, sometimes there’s a LEGO set that attracts me a lot. This happened with 76327 Iron Man MK4 Bust. Often, an upcoming set works like an inspiration for me to build something new and gives me all sorts of ideas. The official Iron Man Bust LEGO set that was released recently. This is why I decided to do a smaller version of the bust. Like always, I started with the helmet (or head when it’s a different character). Scale-wise, it seemed that a 2x2 footprint is perfect for the small scale. Fun fact: the official 76327 Iron Man MK4 Bust set was designed by LEGO designer Mark Stafford. There is an interesting story about how Mark Stafford “killed” the color teal back in the day, when he was faced with the challenge to choose between teal and purple. He had to pick one...
