I think I forgot to do last month but I’m back with the September 2018 recap. There was a bunch of LEGO news this month and here are some posts that you might have missed. LEGO October 2018 Store Calendar Promotions & Events – The October 2018 LEGO calendar was released and the main promotions for the month are the LEGO Star Wars Han Solo Mudtrooper (40300) and the Minifigure Collector Frame. LEGO Seasonal 2018 Christmas Carousel (40293) Revealed – An exclusive 2018 LEGO Christmas set was revealed with the limited edition Christmas Carousel (40293). There’s no word yet on availability at this time but I’ll let you know when we get some details. LEGO Minifigure Evolution Throughout the Years – LEGO sent over a bunch of assets to help celebrate the 40th anniversary of the LEGO minifigure and we got to see how the minifigure has changed throughout the years....

If you’ve been looking for the Target exclusive LEGO Bean There, Donut That (40358), I’m happy to report that the set is now widely available at Target stores. If for whatever reason you still can’t find it, check Brickseek to see if it is actually in stock. The DPCI# is 204-00-0606 and the set costs $19.99 but if you have a REDcard, you can take off 5%. It is not available online at this time and I’m not sure if it will be or not. I’ve already done a review of the set if you want to check it out. Way back in May, we got our first look at the new 2018 LEGO Brand Store (40305) and we’ve been wondering when it will be available here in the United States. I’ve gotten word that the set will be a regular set and it was sold as early as this week at a LEGO Brand Store in the US. I can assure you that this is true as it comes from one of my good sources. The images have been up on LEGO’s servers so it will be available on Shop@Home pretty soon. The set has already been available for a few months in Germany and France. Let us know in the comments if you’ve seen this set at your local LEGO Brand Store. It has been just over a day since LEGO announced their new adult-centered theme, LEGO FORMA, and it looks like there’s quite a bit of interest for it. Their initial perk goal of 500 has been surpassed five times over and as of this writing, it sits at 2,590 perks claimed in total. The US Super Box option has already had one-third of the inventory claimed out of the 3,000 available. The UK Super Box option is already 40% claimed out of the 1,000 available in that region with still about a month left in the crowdfunding project. The Super Box options save you a little bit money compared to just buying the base Koi set and the additional skins separately but there’s still quite a bit of inventory for those options. One of the greatest cinema moments of the nineties has been brought to life in LEGO by Douglas Hughes in this scene from The Matrix where Neo asks, puzzled, “I know Kung Fu?” Morpheus looks at him quizzically and challenges, “Show me.” Douglas has captured the simple complexity of the dojo beautifully, adding special lighting for the sword racks.
