The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Lyonsblood is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The 350 piece build features the iconic caterpillar from the children’s book that I’m sure everybody has read before. The caterpillar is poseable and the project also includes the different fruit as well. The project joins “Big Boy” Locomotive, Retro Arcade, Spartan Helmet of Leonidas, Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider, The Muppet Show, Red Bull Racing F1 Team RB18 1:12, Scooby Doo Mystery Machine, Western River Steamboat, Dreamwork’s Shrek Swamp, Asterix & Obelix, Venice, Stilt House, Red Bull RB18, Trojan Horse, Red Dwarf: Sleeping Quarters, TaleSpin Seaduck Meeting Seagull, Stud Lane Book Nook, Greenhouse, Yu-Gi-Oh! In my next review of the LEGO DREAMZzz line, we take a look at Mateo and Z-Blob the Robot (71454). This set has 237 pieces and retails for $19.99. Minifigures There are two minifigures in the set, Mateo and Jayden. Mateo is the same minifigure that we’ve seen before with the same pencil spear and hourglass accessories. The LEGO Ideas Singles’ Day My, Myself, and I fan vote is now live and you can vote which set you want as a future gift with purchase set. There are 15 finalists and fans have only one vote to pick your favorite one. The premise of the contest was to build something people do by themselves using a maximum of 250 bricks. Too bad LEGO has to choose only one because a lot of them are really good. The deadline to vote is only one week on July 11 so get your voices heard. One of the more anticipated days of the month is here and I’m not talking about Independence Day. The LEGO Icons Eldorado Fortress (10320) is now available for purchase on the LEGO Shop. The set retails for $214.99 and is a tribute for the 1989 set of the same name. Unfortunately, there are no promotions going alongside it and it’ll probably be temporarily sold out by the time the next one comes around. Remember to use Rakuten to earn some cash back on your purchases. As a Rakuten/Linkshare Affiliate, I earn from qualifying purchases. The San Diego Comic Con 2023 exclusives portal is now live and it doesn’t look like LEGO will have any exclusives for sale this year. We’re still a few weeks away from the event and there’s still time for companies to add themselves to the list since we have until July 16 to submit our entries but so far, it’s not looking promising. There’s a chance that they could do something directly at their booth but that would be a mess and I can already hear the security say “you can’t stand here, keep moving.” The last time that LEGO did any exclusives was back in 2019 before the pandemic closed everything down the year after. Back then, they had a few exclusives that lucky fans were able to purchase as well as minifigures that were given away at random. LEGO did sell their exclusives online in 2020 at various retailers...
