This event will run right after the current sales event where you can save up to 40% off select LEGO sets which ends tomorrow night. LEGO has put up a first look image of the upcoming LEGO Disney Classic Animation Scenes (40774) gift with purchase set. The set has 270 pieces and it features a little TV set with the iconic Disney logo and you can switch it out with scenes from The Lion King or Toy Story. The set also includes the Simba lion animal piece as well as a minifigure of Woody. There’s no details on when it will be available or the price requirements to get it. Reductive design is creating new designs by removing some elements of an existing design. In terms of LEGO, Reductive design can mean partially removing an existing print to create an all-new design. German AFOLs Andreas Pettau (Feanor) and Larsvader have each created impressive medieval builds on their own, but past builds could hardly prepare you for the epic collaboration they debuted at Berlin SteineWAHN! event last month. Spread across 24 32×32 baseplates, “The Wolfhunt” pits two Classic Castle factions against each other in a detailed landscape enhanced by lights and motion. Andreas built the fantastic Wolfpack Tower and the surrounding swamps, while Larsvader constructed a castle, palisades, and forest for the noble Lion Knights. The collab won the popular vote for best-in-show as well as the judges’ vote for best collab.
