From pretty porgs to sombre stormtroopers – how’s that for building range?

Although Star Wars doesn’t celebrate its 50th birthday until next year, we’re seeing a glut of LEGO Star Wars builds hit the internet thanks to the Glup Bricko contest. Bas van Houwelingen has certainly taken this building challenge to heart! We already featured the amazing Porg mosaic he entered, but he’s snuck in one last entry that couldn’t be more different. In fact, despite depicting one of the bad guys, it’s still rather poignant. The constraction armour branch and Bionicle leg conifer tree are just enough to suggest Endor’s forest moon, where this stormtrooper no doubt met their end, shortly to be followed by the rest Galactic Empire. And I will always like a build that includes part of the short-lived Planets line!
