BrickNerd is powered by an international team of passionate LEGO superfans who love getting nerdy about the bricks. We build, write, interview, edit, and share stories about the LEGO community and the people behind the builds.
Over the past five years, we’ve published nearly 1,500 articles celebrating creativity, connection, and community—and now we’re looking for a few new Nerds to join the crew!
Join the BrickNerd Team
We’re an eclectic bunch of builders, writers, photographers, and storytellers—united by one thing: a love of LEGO. BrickNerd contributors come from all over the world and speak dozens of languages! The more perspectives we have, the better we can represent the creativity and diversity of this community. Here are a few ways you can join our team:
Contributor
Do you love writing about LEGO, interviewing builders, or diving deep into interesting topics? Our volunteer contributors are the heart of BrickNerd, and we’re looking for passionate people from every corner of the globe.
As a contributor, you can expect to:
Write roughly one feature every other month (about six per year).
Collaborate with our creative, international team to share ideas and insights.
Represent BrickNerd at conventions and international fan events.
Occasionally get the chance to do something fun with a LEGO set.
Contributors get access to our behind-the-scenes Discord, exclusive BrickNerd swag, and a front-row seat to one of the most passionate and nerdy corners of the LEGO world!
Guest Contributor
Do you have a single story, idea, or area of expertise you’d love to share and maybe don’t want to commit to something ongoing? Guest contributors are always welcome!
Maybe you’ve built something incredible and want to talk about it, have experience in a specific LEGO niche, or simply want to publish one article on a topic you care about. If you’ve got a great idea, we’ll help you shape it into a BrickNerd feature.
Social Media Manager
Maybe writing isn’t your thing, but you still want to contribute to the LEGO community and get the perks of being a member of BrickNerd. We’re looking for someone to help our social crew expand BrickNerd’s presence across other platforms—Instagram, Facebook, and beyond.
This role involves repurposing article content into engaging social posts, interacting with fans, and helping keep BrickNerd’s voice present across platforms. It’s a great way to get involved, stay close to the community, and help people discover our stories. Familiarity with social media tools and basic photo editing is helpful but not required.
Copyeditor
Are you detail-oriented and love shaping good writing into great storytelling? BrickNerd needs a copyeditor to help stage and polish articles for publication.
You’ll help refine articles so each one matches BrickNerd’s tone, structure, and voice while preserving the author’s personality. You’ll also prepare content behind the scenes, making sure the format, photos, mechanics, and links are all working smoothly. Familiarity with Squarespace is helpful but not required, and we’ll make sure your time and effort are appreciated.
