Nearly twenty years since the release of the movie, this instantly recognisable scene of the very first introduction to Captain Jack Sparrow is brilliant. I love how the shallow depth of field achieved during the photography. Exquisitely captured in ABS by Mountain Hobbit, Captain Jack’s arrival on a sinking ship has been perfectly recreated. Amazon has a pretty good deal going on where you can save 40% on a LEGO set. They have a buy 2, get 1 40% off limited time deal going on where you can buy two LEGO sets and get another for 40% off. They have an extensive list of smaller sets, some of which are new ones for 2020 such as the LEGO Ninjago Arcade sets. In addition, everything on the list has already been discounted so you can get more bang for your buck. LEGO has released a video showcasing some of the features for the LEGO Technic Fast & Furious Dom’s Dodge Charger (42111). The main thing is the V8 engine that sticks out of the hood and it even has moving pistons. In addition, there is steering included for the front wheels which is always a plus. To give the Charger a more authentic feel, LEGO also gave it a wishbone suspension. Lastly for more of a display feature, it does have a pop out beams on the bottom of the car to recreate the last racing scene from the first film. Dom’s Dodge Charger will be available on April 27 but you can pre-order it on LEGO Shop@Home today. Well, maybe not so easy…. My old pal Dave Kaleta has finally finished his A-Z starship project. For those of you who weren’t paying attention in school, that’s 26 ships! Check out the individual posts for all the details and playability features. I especially like how the Y ship can transform from a consonant to a vowel. When the fleet is on patrol, I always stays ahead of E, except when C is in the air. And believe it or not, with all of those powerful engines, more than half of the ships can run silent.
