A couple more LEGO Ideas projects have reached the 10,000 supporter goal in the past few days and it has considerably slowed down. We’re up to 92 projects in the Second 2025 Review Stage and it’s getting hard to keep up and see which projects have reached. This is due to LEGO Ideas not having a decent sorting function that shows the latest ones in order so you’ll have to scroll and check which ones you haven’t seen before. A few days ago, LEGO revealed the LEGO Ideas Italian Riviera (21359) and they said that there was a Mediterranean Scene gift with purchase set to go along with it. It was thought that it would be an actual scene build but it is actually the Italian Market Van (5009422) which has just been revealed on the LEGO Shop. The 142 piece set features a blue Piaggio Ape carrying a lemon tree along with a toolbox, broom, shovel, flowerpot, and a box with a fish and starfish. It’s a neat little set to go along with the Italian Riviera but the press release was kind of misleading. Boys and girls ages 10 plus can play out fun stories with this Italian Market Van building toy, a fun gift for kids with a passion for Italy and cool vehicles. Inspired by the classic Piaggio Ape model seen on the streets of Italy,...

A late night LEGO Amazon deal has popped up with the LEGO Icons Boutique Hotel (10287) being discounted by 26%. This drops the price of the set down to $170.94 which is very close to its lowest price. That was set back last September when it was discounted by 27% so it’s pretty close. A few weeks ago we got a first look at the extremely rare LEGO Peter Jackson minifigure we now know the buyer and how much they paid for it. We can now confirm that Samuel Burkhardt aka rarest_lego_minifigures on Instagram is the buyer which isn’t too surprising. The more shocking part is that the final price of it was $38,028 and if you account for import taxes, it’s value is probably worth over $40,000. When you check out Samuel’s account, you can see thousands and thousands of dollars of rare LEGO items that he has obtained throughout the years and the Peter Jackson minifigure may be one of the most rare ones in his collection. We’re in pretty much unprecedented territory for LEGO Ideas as we’re now at 90 projects that have qualified for the Second 2025 Review Stage. At this point, there’s no question that 100 qualified projects is well within possibility and I’m going to venture a guess that we might even reach as high as 120. The qualifying period ends at the end of August so there’s plenty of time for projects to gather votes. I love the LEGO Botanical line, but I have a problem. I’ve only got two vases. Some Botanical sets try to solve that problem for me by including a pot or something, but then I have a second problem: I don’t have a ton of table or shelf space. What I do have is often overrun with MOCs of my own. Where can I put these gorgeous flowers without having to move into a bigger place? Flat surfaces and vases may be limited, but one thing most of us have a lot of: wall space. That makes sense, since there’s roughly four times as much wall in any room as there is floor! So I set about to turn these tabletop Botanical sets into wall-mounted art, and honestly, it went better than I’d ever imagined. Flower Arrangement: From Shelf to Frame Let’s begin with 10345 Flower Arrangement. (This was actually the...

Summer Joust is in full swing, and while some builders might be focused on towers, turrets, or trebuchets, I’m throwing open the shutters to focus on something just as important—windows. Whether they’re casting soft sunlight into a medieval great hall or adding a little extra pane-ache to your walls, windows are often the unsung heroes of great LEGO architecture. In this round-up, I’ll focus mostly on examples of medieval/Tudor-style windows from around the LEGO community. I hope these examples provide you with some inspiration for your next MOC, whether it be for Summer Joust or just for fun. Brick-Built LEGO Windows Starting off with a bang, we have this beauty by Ralf Langer. Ralf always uses a variety of stunning techniques, not least of which when it comes to making windows. See if you can find at least five different windows in the build below. Source: Flickr The build below is...
