LEGO has officially revealed the next LEGO Ideas set coming soon with Gremlins: Gizmo (21361). Releasing on October 1 (pre-order today), the set has 1,125 pieces and will retail for $109.99. Gizmo was one of the winners in the LEGO Ideas If We Can Turn Back Time building contest last April. The set features a brick-built model of the little Mogwai that can be displayed either standing or sitting. The head can also rotate while the ears, arms, hands, and fingers have articulation. Gizmo also comes with a pair of brick-built 3D glasses and a water splash piece for some foreshadowing of what’s to come when he gets wet. LEGO has announced an upcoming LEGO Star Wars livestream for a new mystery set on September 4 at 9:15am ET/6:15 PT. The only hint that is given is that it is for something BIG. There’s nothing else Star Wars rumored for 2025 except for the usual suspect and if you’ve been online the past few weeks, you probably know what it is. This year, LEGO is letting everyone get in on the holiday fun with LEGO Star Wars 40806 Gingerbread AT-AT, an irresistible set we never saw coming. SHIPtember is an annual AFOL tradition where space builders challenge themselves to create a spacecraft that’s at least 100 studs long, built entirely during September. “SHIP” refers both to spaceship but is also an acronym for “Seriously Huge Investment in Parts.”  Simon Liu helped start the trend 12 years ago, and for LEGO space fans, it’s a highlight of the year. Scott Wilhelm is one of the original participants and an event regular. But Scott’s love of SHIPs is too great to contain to just one month. At Brickworld, Scott debuted the Noctem Æternus, a dark blue behemoth measuring 105 studs long. Scott is always a master of color blocking, here seamlessly adding brown striping.
