Today we get to see one of our favorite LEGO artists might have fared as a more traditional user of ink and paper. We’re quite familiar with the work of 2016 TBB Builder of the Year Grant Masters as a LEGO artist: sometimes it’s an adorable kung fu panda, other times it’s a lifesize steampunk pistol, or even primeval anatomy. Grant is a master of scale and always brings excellent, inventive parts usage to the table. As related by the builder, this “drawing” is meant to represent the start of the drawing process, the rough shapes and lines only just starting to come together as opposed to a completed, clean rendering. LEGO has revealed it’s latest Technic model, the 42107 LEGO Technic Ducati Panigale V4 R. The sleek superbike comes with 646 pieces which make up the motorcycle’s Technic core and red exterior. The Ducati Panigale V4 R is also the first motorcycle model in LEGO Technic history to include a gearbox. 42107 LEGO Technic Ducati Panigale V4 R will retail for $69.99 USD | 54.99 GBP | 99.99 CAD beginning on June 1st this summer. Inspired by the iconic Ducati superbike, the LEGO version of the Panigale V4 R features realistic steering and both front and rear disc brakes. The model also includes details that mirror its real-life counterpart including the shaped kickstand, exhaust pipe, windshield and dashboard. The new LEGO Ideas Pirates of Barracuda Bay (21322) is now available for purchase on LEGO Shop@Home. Since LEGO Brand Stores won’t be open for at least a few more weeks, it is currently exclusive online. It is the largest LEGO Ideas sets that has been released coming in at 2,545 pieces while retailing at $199.99.
