Last week, we reported that BrickLink would be stopping operations in 35 countries around the world. The reason given was that they didn’t have the resources to support Marketplace operations in those area at the same level as other countries and would end on December 12. This announcement angered and saddened many LEGO fans in the affected countries because BrickLink may be the only way to get LEGO or it was their livelihood. Head of BrickLink, Steven Lee, has issued an apology statement regarding the announcement. They basically apologized that BrickLink didn’t allow enough time to the affected countries enough notice so instead of closing on December 12, they just pushed it back to January 31, 2026. They are also removing fees from November, December, and January. The apology letter didn’t really explain why they don’t have the resources to support those countries.
