LEGO has officially announced a brand new Despicable Me set with the Supersized Tim (75553). The build consists of 102,213 pieces and measures at 2.5 meters tall. The instruction manual itself contains 8,947 pages which supposedly takes you over a year to build but there are some fast builders that can finish before that. There’s also a gift with purchase item includes which are some safety straps to help you move the box. There’s no mentioning yet on the release date or the pricing but those details should be coming soon. While we focus mainly on the AFOL community here at BrickNerd, I thought it would be fun to reconvene my scientific panel of children for another round of “LEGO According To Kids.” As builders and hobbyists, we use a lot of acronyms and nicknames to discuss LEGO. But can someone with little to no exposure to the hobby understand any of the lingo we use? I quizzed my kids, aged 3, 6 and 7, to see what translates from our comprehensive BrickNerd AFOL Slang Dictionary.
