In less than a day, the LEGO Disney 100 Years Celebration (40600) gift with purchase set has sold out on the LEGO Shop here in North America. In fact, it lasted less than 12 hours after it went live 24 hours ago. I’m also hearing that LEGO Stores didn’t get much in stock either so that makes the set rather rare. As a result, the price of the set on the secondary market is starting to slowly reflect that as prices are heading up to $70 on it. It’s not really that surprising since LEGO released two new popular Disney sets that qualified for it including the Disney Hocus Pocus – The Sanderson Sisters’ Cottage (21341) and the Disney Castle (43222) with the former already in backorder status shipping in 60 days. Amazon has recently put up the product page for the upcoming LEGO Marvel Visual Dictionary which includes the exclusive Iron Man Armor Model 64 minifigure. The paperback version lists the minifigure is included with but the hardcover version doesn’t show it, however, the images in the middle of the product page seeming shows that the hardcover does have it. If I have to guess, I would say that both will have the minifigure but I cannot guarantee it. I took the chance and ordered the hardcover just to see. The book will be released on September 19 and it is eligible for returns/replacements within 30 days so there’s no harm.
