The shining city of Minas Tirith has finally made its LEGO debut and captures the majesty of Gondor in its prime. Of course, it took much sacrifice to keep the forces of Mordor at bay until the free peoples of Middle-earth could come to its aid. Benjamin Hagger is a new face on LEGO Flickr who recreates that sacrifice as the last Gondorian holdouts defend Osgiliath. Benjamin does an admirable job capturing the cracked and crumbling city walls, and a fireball caught mid-impact on the domed tower captures the immediacy of the orc threat.
Another recent build from French builder Guillaume of a white tower isn’t explicitly called out as Gondor, but it certainly evokes it (and the castle builder has built Osgiliath in the past). The monochrome build is quite striking, especially the soaring dragon (albino fell beast?)
