The Winners of Imperial March 2025 Are…
Last month, we challenged you to bring to life your most iconic Star Wars creations for Imperial March. Today in honor of May the Fourth, we are excited to reveal those builders who went to a galaxy far, far away and returned with some epic prizes! We received 75 entries in total and were impressed by everyone’s imperial fortitude.

To recap, Imperial March had three categories: Characters and Creatures, Ships and Vehicles and Rebuild the Galaxy. It took a while and a lot of deliberation, but we’ve finally selected who is the chosen one! One builder who entered all three categories and earned the greatest number of votes will be crowned our Grand MOC Builder.
There were so many awesome builds. This contest was so hard to judge that we brought in an expert—Boone Langston, who helped start Imperial March in 2021 and who is a current LEGO designer. Boone and each BrickNerd contributor who did not build for the contest had an equal vote. Votes and builds were anonymized, and the results were very, very close.
Boone: Thanks to BrickNerd for keeping this tradition alive and for inviting me to participate in the adjudication. It’s so fun to stay connected to the LEGO fan community and Star Wars builders.

Three key criteria were considered by the judges:
Concept: Is the idea clever and well thought out?
Quality: Is the creation built well with solid techniques or NPU?
Presentation: Is the creation composed and photographed in a way that enhances the presentation?
So let’s stop talking about the odds and experience the full power of the dark side!
Character or Creature Honorable Mentions
We’ll start with our honorable mentions. We asked you to bring to life an iconic Star Wars character or creature—a hero, villain, or someone in between, built in ways we have never seen before. Congratulations to these four builders who amazed us with their creativity. We encourage you to click through to check out their other work as well!

Character or Creature Winners
2nd Place Winner: Mrs_Foutch

The prize set of 75385 Ahsoka Tano’s Duel on Peridea goes to Mrs_Foutch for their “Return of the Jedi” brick-built poster. The scale of the piece is enormous and we loved all the different ways of including characters, from minifigs to brick-built, especially when it came to people in profile and even a Ewok! The turkey feathers and true-to-scale light saber were also well-done moments of great parts usage.
Boone: Recreating the Return of the Jedi poster in brick form is a major undertaking and Mrs_Foutch was certainly up to the challenge. The execution is wonderful, and the true scale of the piece really sets in when you notice the Jabba element.
1st Place Winner: o0ger

The winner of our Character or Creature category winner gave us a character not often seen in LEGO form due to his curvy nature. 75429 AT-AT Driver Helmet goes to o0ger for their “Nien Nunb” bust. The use of the newer reddish-orange elements combined with some out-of-this-world photography skills to make those black eyes come alive means we have ourselves a winner!
Boone: Nien Nunb is such a strange-looking little guy, appearing for such a pivotal role in a tense moment of the original trilogy. Oscar did a fantastic job achieving such alien shapes for this creature's face.

Ship or Vehicle Honorable Mentions
We were blown away by all the ships and vehicle submissions—it was our toughest category to judge! The galaxy is full of legendary modes of transportation waiting to be built in new and creative ways, and you delivered! From microscale ships to theme-park rides complete with working doors, these four builders each brought to life a hunk of junk worthy of an honorable mention.

2nd Place Winner: StillRollingAxleLotl

The first prize set of 75404 Acclamator-Class Assault Ship goes to StillRollingAxleLotl for their “Naboo N1.” Again with the curves! We were duly impressed with the creative techniques for the shaping as well as the spot-on presentation, complete with a planet and firing thrusters.
Boone: The Naboo N1 is a tricky ship to replicate with the LEGO System, with many different compound curves, and StillRollingAxlelotl has done a splendid job of it. This is another example of a well-edited backdrop showcasing this ship well.

1st Place Winner: FiskarBWD

But there was one ship that stood out. 75383 Darth Maul’s Sith Infiltrator goes to FiskarBWD for their “Tie Raider.” This imperial ship fits right in with the design language of Star Wars, combining the feel of Defender with the angularity of an Interceptor. Add to that lighting that makes it feel there is a sun just off camera and you get a winning entry!
Boone: The Tie Raider is an interesting design, building upon a rich iconic legacy of imperial tie vehicles. FiskarBWD incorporated tricky angles and fantastic details while showcasing the ships well with an appropriate space background.

Rebuild the Galaxy Honorable Mentions
In our last category, we wanted you to recreate a legendary Star Wars moment with your own twist. Based on the alt-universe mini-series, we wanted to see iconic scenes reimagined in a creative way. We loved seeing so many takes on what could have happened, and this is a category where concept was incredibly important. These four builders really impressed us by asking, “What if?”

Rebuild the Galaxy Winners
2nd Place Winner: ABrickDreamer

Winning 75388 Jedi Bob’s Starfighter, ABrickDreamer made us laugh with his “I Am Your Father” scene. The context makes perfect sense since we don’t know anything about Yoda, Grogu or their families, and the deft positioning of the child make the stakes seem higher than the fall would indicate!
Boone: “I Am Your Father” is easily the funniest build in the competition. This is such a clever idea paired with a well-built and styled execution. ABrickDreamer nailed the spirit of my favorite type of Star Wars building with this piece. If I may be so bold as to suggest a slight title change: “Your Father, Am I.”

1st Place Winner: Louis of Nutwood

First place and 75396 Desert Skiff & Sarlacc Pit goes to Louis of Nutwood for his “Dark Side of Dagobah.” For such a bleak location, the build is clean and sleek, twisting an iconic scene into something you want to know more about. Who is the master Luke is searching for? Can he use the force to save his ship? And what is hiding in the pathway into the winding woods?
Boone: The Dark Side of Dagobah is exceptionally built and skillfully photographed. The twist in this reimagining is artful in its subtle impact. Louis of Nutwood brings a tasteful approach to the "Rebuild" concept that makes this piece feel grounded in the detailed realism of the Star Wars aesthetic.

Grand MOC Builder: Louis of Nutwood

But there can only be one chosen one. An incredible 12 people submitted builds in all three cute categories, vying for the title of Grand MOC Builder. After the votes were tallied, we are so very happy to award set 75389 The Dark Falcon, a BrickNerd swag box, our coveted Golden Nerdly Trophy, and the title of Grand MOC Builder to… Louis of Nutwood!
All three of his builds were either winners or honorable mentions in each category, and he earned the most total votes of all builders who participated. In addition to the Rebuild the Galaxy scene above, his “T-47 Snowspeeder” is a great ship that uses deft texture to show the icy realities of Hoth, complete with a themed stand we wish came with the midi-scale ship series.

His character build “Roger Roger” also showed multiple ways a brick-built battle droid can stand and be posed, complete with blaster fire and long-range sniper blaster. If we didn’t know how easy it was to dismantle these droids, they would be terrifying to encounter in real life! These are certainly the droids we were looking for.

Boone: Congrats to Louis of Nutwood for winning best overall! It is inspiring to see you build for all three categories and excel at the same time.

The title of Grand MOC Builder is well deserved and hereby awarded!
Congratulations to all our winners! We are impressed with your willingness to embrace the Dark Side during Imperial March. You all have unlimited building power, and we will be in contact about your prizes soon.
Galactic Giveaway Winner
But wait, there’s more! We wanted to celebrate everyone who entered Imperial March, so we randomly drew an entry submitted before March 24th to receive 75372 Clone Trooper & Battle Droid Battle Pack. Congratulations to Nolan Simpson for winning the drawing for his UCS STAP vehicle! It’s a fun build, making reference both to Star Wars and LEGO sets.

Boone: Congrats to Nolan Simpson for winning the random draw. You've done a great job building an iconic Star Wars vehicle, and I hope you keep building!
The Imperial March Gallery

You can see all the awesome entries for our Imperial March contest below, divided by category. There are so many amazing builds, we wish we could award more prizes! Take a moment to turn on John Williams’ iconic score and browse through the gallery.
We are grateful for each and every entry, and we LOVED that so many people—both kids and adults—had fun building. We also owe a big thank you to LEGO for providing some of the prizes and to Boone for helping us judge.
Boone: So many incredible creators participated this year, and I hope you all continue in the future. Go build something amazing, and may the force be with you, always!
